Great fit. Not too warm. Comfortable and easy to clean. Black makes you look thinner and I wear these to the gym to do my workout. If I'm not wearing them to workout then I'm wearing them to lounge around in because they are comfortable and I am all about comfortable clothes.

I have several Hanes EcoSmart sweatpants. They are just the right weight to wear almost all year. I would give 5 stars BUT , this order of 2 pair, small/ petite are definitely not petite, despite the label. The inseam is supposed to measure 28.5”, but they both measure 31”. I am currently wearing an older pair, and the new ones are a solid 3” longer. That may not seem like much, but when you are 5’2” it makes a big difference. It’s hard to find “short” pants, and disappointing when my go-to brand isn’t as expected.

I have worn Hanes sweatpants for decades & decided to get a few new pair as they were on an excellent sale. I sized up since most things online seem to run smaller. I did end up pulling them up every once in a while as they are a little bit loose - better to have room & not be too tight in my book. The fabric quality is good, but it is a little thinner than my 15+ years old sweatpants, but that happens with most clothes materials nowadays. They did keep me warm enough when it was -30°F wind chill outside & a drafty 65°F inside ~~ which was why I bought them. They are comfy to wear all day whether you are binge watching a show or watching a movie, washing dishes or laundry, visiting with family/friends, etc. I think they are good to wear out & about as well. I bought a couple colors & I appreciate the color options. I like that this sweatpant design has an open ankle & not the fitted elastic. The open bottom looks nicer than the elastic if you are leaving your house. I always recommend Hanes products & have multiple of their clothing options on right now - panties, sweatpants, t-shirt, sweatshirt & socks. I'm currently watching a TV show & I am warm & cozy while extremely comfortable.

I really wanted to loves these. They arrived and were super soft and comfortable and they fit perfectly. I’m 220 lbs 5’4 (XL) and the hugged just perfectly and came just to the top of my foot (so I wasn’t tripping over them!). They washed nice and I was thrilled with these hang out sweatpants. I loved the waistline as it had elasticity without a tight elastic band. It came to a little V in the front on the waistline. The pants were fuzzy and warm, and you can wear them to bed or wear them out on the town. The material is thick, but not heavy. However, after a couple of wears and washes, I noticed it began to pile in the crotch area and then I saw the first seem pull apart in the middle of the crotch (not the rear end area). The next wear, the seam pulled apart in the front. There are now two holes about an inch each in the seam line demonstrating that they were not sown very well and are not durable. I would not recommend these sweatpants given how quickly they fell apart in more than one place.

Pluses and minuses in these pants depending what you want to do with them. I bought a medium. I'm 5'7' tall and weight approx. 160. Normally I would wear between a medium and a large depending on mfg., material, etc. so I winged this purchase. I actually made a lucky mistake in buying the 'petite' which was not labeled in the purchase description or a choice at check out! BUT that wound up being okay since I have a short rise from crotch to waistline so not big extra bunches of extra material to have to turn down at the waist or worse yet alter. Good points.....nice material, washes well, feels good inside. Nice cut to the pattern. Tighter through the thighs growing a little bigger from the knees down to ankle and plenty wide enough through the calf/s (of course that would depend on your own personal calves). Bad points ....material shrinks maybe a 1/4-1/2" inches, so be prepared because pants will feel tighter after first putting them on BUT they will stretch somewhat as you wear them.. WAIST band is soft and loose - not snug but comfortable.! NO SIDE SEAMS so if you needed or wanted to take them in you'd have to fuss to get the seam in the right place. One piece construction with only a cuff/crotch/cuff seam. Makes for a nice smooth side without a seam but almost impossible to let out UNLESS you make an insertion to alter if you need a bigger size or even taking them in. Cheap fast finish at the cuff but easy enough to rip out with a razor blade and make shorter if you needed to. Overall a quick factory made product with no frills and potential problems depending on how your body is built. If you decide to keep just make sure you have at least 1/2" to spare through the thighs! I will buy again but I'm considering going up a size because of the shrinkage making them a bit on the snug side through the thighs/hip area AFTER WASHING - I do not have big thighs either. I just pray the waistband is not too loose in the larger size. I might have to alter that if necessary but over all happy with the pants and way easier and cheaper than going out and buying the fabric and going through the hassle to make them which I could do but I don't want to be bothered!

Within the past two weeks, I placed (and returned) two identical but separate orders about a week apart. Each order was for the Navy Heather and Violet in Petite length/size Large. For both orders I received the correct colors and size but in the Regular length, not the Petite. The first order I thought was a fluke, but after receiving the second order, I promptly contacted Amazon customer service to bring this issue to their attention. The representative escalated the matter and kindly requested that I post a review to help Amazon recognize and address the problem. I must admit, I was surprised to learn that Amazon (most likely AI software) actually reads reviews, but the representative assured me that they do. The representative also indicated that this type of issue resolves within 72 hours. This one-star rating is not a reflection of the product itself but rather an indication of what I believe is a warehouse issue. Yes, I don’t like reviews based on factors other than the product itself, but I thought a one-star rating might better capture Amazon’s attention. Over the years, I’ve purchased these sweatpants multiple times in various colors. I’ve noticed since the addition of the word “EcoSmart” in the description the fabric’s feel has slightly diminished, however I still appreciate other qualities of the product and continue to order. For instance, they’re not too thick, have an open-bottom leg design, and are available in the Petite length. In my opinion, before the addition of “EcoSmart”, these were a solid 5-star product, now they’re a 4-star rating.

Perfect fit and totally comfortable. Warm enough for winter wear, but is fine for summer wear as well. The length is perfect for me, and it washes and dries by machine easily and does not shrink or fade. I think it's an excellent product. I've bought these in several different colors.

5’2” and 160 lbs. and bought 4 pair of these for $6 per pair. I needed some to lounge around at home, and even after reading the negative reviews, figured it was worth giving them a try as the price was right. Because of my height, I always pre-wash and machine dry washable pants at least 3 times before shortening them. Also, I am losing weight so don’t want to spend a lot of money on clothes right now and look for things I can wear while my weight goes up and down. First of all, after washing and drying each pair 3 times, they each shrunk about 3 inches. That is actually pretty normal for sweats. They were about 4 1/2 inches too long, so that is all right for me. Also, they were washed in warm water with no liquid fabric softener, and dried on a normal cotton cycle using dryer sheets. The fabric and colors came out great with little piling. As for the fit, they actually fit just like the ones in the add. They are quite slim at the hips and wide in the legs. They also are short geared (length from the waist to the crotch area), so could be uncomfortable for someone medium height or taller. The waist elastic is fairly loose yet the hips fit snug. I have a more hour-glass shape so may fit better on someone with smaller hips or flatter butt. The worst part is how wide the legs are, with no tapering at all. It can be very unflattering. I am a seamstress, so can easily shorten the pants. As for the wide legs, there is no side Sean that could easily be taken in. The cheap price makes it worthwhile for me to spend the time changing them. I will probably unstitch the sides of the waistband, make side seams that taper a little, also taper the inner leg seams, tighten the waistband elastic, and should end up with nice looking, warm, and comfortable sweats that should last me through the rest of my weight loss process without spending a lot of money. On the positive side, if you are a slimmer built person who like the wider legs style or would just add elastic to the bottom of the legs, and can get these sweats at a great price, I do recommend them. The colors are great and the fabric is soft and comfy, warm but not too warm. Review update - I have finally worn a pair of these sweatpants. I’m 5’ 2” tall, 160 lbs., and hourglass shape. These sweatpants fit a little snug when first on, but after awhile fit just right around the waist and hips for me (a petite in pants). The rise (length from the natural waistline to the crotch area) is perfect, almost a little short. Also, after being washed and dried 3 times, the length is still 2 1/2” too long. That means these pants should fit a short person fine after hemming them, and an average person perfect in length and if they like a lower waistline.

Excellent quality of course. I ordered a large but could have ordered a medium. Nothing a few stitches can’t fix. Length great! I’m just under 5’5” and 30” inseam. the leg length is perfect. We’ll see how they fit after first wash.
