Skar Audio RP-1500.1D Monoblock Class D MOSFET Amplifier with Remote Subwoofer Level Control, 1500W

Yes, yes, we all know skar audio equipments hits like a fat kid who got his last donut stolen. Lets talk about the real issue here: whats with the lack of stickers?! So far i ve purchased a rp1500 amp, a ddx 12, a ported enclosure, and a lp750 amp...and i got 1 sticker. Are they made of unobtainium? Do they grant magical wishes? What do i have to do to get a couple more stickers?! I got kids.... I ll trade ya. I want access to purchase hats! Shirts! A sick zip-up hoodie! Guess i could go get a skar audio tattoo, but that seems extreme.

I have to leave the gain and volume really low to have decent thump. almost to where my mids and highs overpower and drown out the bass. Only running 2 12 alpine type S's. Had them at 1 ohm and tried single ar 2 ohms. Same thing. Clips at the same volume even at 1/4 gain. Getting a clean rca signal from my clarion head unit (i have a smd dd1 distortion detector). My speakers start to distort at 32 volume but even at the lowest gain setting, the amp clips around 17-18 where the bass is not really existent for my liking. My JBL gtx 500 pushes one 12 inch louder than this thing pushes 2. I've heard a lot of good things about Skar from my friends and online reviews but i guess i got unlucky with this unit. i was really excited to install this too...

I've owned this amp for 3 years now. For 2 1/2 of those years I had it in a Tahoe with a 250amp alternator, 0 gauge OFC wire and big 3, and a XS Power Battery. Amp was tuned appropriately and I played it full tilt on 2 Fosgate T0 12s at 1 ohm frequently. Only issue I had with it was during the hotter months here in Texas. After about 15 minutes while driving the amp would get too hot and go into protect mode. Would happen everytime. That being said it never gave up on me and always came back on. Currently it's in a pickup running 2 10s at 2 ohms. I've not had it shut off once at the higher ohm load, even during the Texas heat this summer. Overall I'd say it's worth the money and purchase. It seems to put out close to rated power and it's lasted me a long time through a beating it's entire life with me.

This was my first car amp purchase in about 17 years. They've probably all come a long way in that time but I am very impressed with the low heat coming off off it. Probably overkill for a 1600w rated 2 ohm dvc single 12. I'm running it at about 30% gain and halfway up on the remote knob. At 50% gain, the voice coils on the sub get too hot.Clean bass output from a kicker line out converter tied parallel to the factory sub lead.This wattage calls for a larger gauge input than the 2awg it has. I trimmed my 0awg down and packed 2awg ferrules best I could. Worked good.

Got it under the seat in a 2014 Dodge Ram pushing skar zvx12 with armored skar box and 4 gauge wire. Beyond impressed with how much power this thing has

Holy crap; to say the least. I had a Hifonics Zues 1200 RMS monoblock amp (600rms @ 2ohm) running a Sundown Audio EV3 12 D4 in a QLogic vented enclosure (tuning should be about 37Hz). I found out the amp was highly overrated and the sub highly underrated. I bought the RP-1500.1D to replace the Zues and wow. Skar just made Hifonics look like Radio Shack. It's rated to 930 rms @ 2ohm. I had to back the amp off to keep the sub from bottoming out. I don't have the bass boost on at all. Gain is at 60% or so. No subsonic filter. Clean, clear and loud as hell. This amp will push 1500 rms @ 1 ohm so if I feel the need I can add another sub and box and attempt to break some glass. Love this amp so far.

I have this amp pushing one of the Skar Audio pre-loaded boxes with (2) IX 12" subs and this amp pushes them hard. There is no clipping and the amp is mounted in a hidden rear compartment in my Chevy Tahoe and it never gets warm. The subs are wired in two Ohms, which the amp is rated for, but I think it could easily do one Ohm and still work fine. I may add two more subs and try out this theory. As of now I'm completely satisfied and I've been an enthusiast for over 20 years and owned top name brands like Old School US Amps and Rockford Fosgate. So trust me, you won't be disappointed.

I've had Skar stuff before but never one of their amps, I've heard about them being the best for the price and so i ordered one and i was blown away. i have a Digital Design 9915 and it makes that thing slam when it has a rms of about 3k. And lately I've ran a single SoundQubed HDC3 15 and my whole car is shaking. people say they hear me coming long before i get that. highly recommend wont regret it.

Cheap amp but amazing for the money. Good power output, takes 4 gauge wire so cheap to wire up compared to 0 gauge amps. Running 4 skar 8” subs with this and it’s pushes them no problem. Had it for a while, gets a bit hot sometimes so would suggest a fan mounted to it for good cooling! Fantastic amp

Skar are knocking out some top amps, strong build and sound.

hooked it up to my l7 before my box for evl 15 was done hardly moved it smoked after one song. emailed skar and no response thankful for amazon
