Q: I have similar model with geforce mx250 (A515-54G-75K6) can i upgrade to geforce gtx ??

You can upgrade the hard drive and the RAM only.

Q: How do i upgrade the ram to 20 gb on the acer aspire 5 a515-55-56vk -- and only the a515-55-56v -- no other versions -- lots of conflicting info !!!

I found only one RAM slot on my Acer Aspire 5 A515-55-56VK, and it had an 8 GB RAM module in it. I replaced it with a 16 GB RAM module from the same manufacturer, but there is no 4 GB of onboard RAM - my maximum RAM is 16 GB, not 20 GB as the specifications claim. 16 GB is more than adequate for my purposes, but the 20 GB maximum for this system is inaccurate.

Q: Can you recommend a hard shell protective case to fit this model?
