Great all around rod, from finesse to power fishing.
I put a Stradic FL C3000XG on this rod and fished it hard. Best use for this rod will be bottom contact for finesse presentations up to about 5/8 ounce total weight thrown. From 1/10 ounce Ned heads to 1/2 ounce jigs with bulky trailers, senkos, crankbaits, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and all sorts of other tackle has been used. This rod has done it all very well, extremely sensitive when drop shotting with a 1/16 ounce weight but still has enough tip flex to pin and hold fish when they try to throw out a 1/2 ounce crankbait with one treble hooked. Overall a killer rod, so good that my second Champion 703 is on order. My only complaint is I would prefer a solid handle over the split handle.

I have several Dobyns rods but the Champion is the best all around

Great Senko rod
I only carry two spinning rods with me and the 703 is the most versatile of the two. Great senko Rod, works for top water and jerk baits
