Will this work with hot water?

I don’t think so , hot water pond ?

There is conflicting dosage info. One says 1oz for every 1,000 gallon and the other 2oz to treat 300 gallon of water. Why the difference?

I follow the instructions on the bottle which says 2oz per 300 gallons. Works fine for about one week or so. I generally dose my pond (approx 800 gallons) every 7-10 days. My water plants are growing well and my koi and ornamental goldfish (around 21) are all healthy, frisky, and feed well with this regimen.

Defoamer won't clean off mineral deposits. You'll need to use something that is specific for cleaning minerals off fiberglass.

Why is my pond cloudy after applying ?

Two possibilities: One is you might have used too much Defoamer. Try cleaning your filters. Other possibility.....if you have females in your pond....it's that time of year when the males become very active chasing the females who are getting ready to lay eggs. The water gets cloudy from the constant chasing of the fish around the pond. This happens every spring with our pond. Sediment from the bottom gets stirred up and also a lot of foam appears along with an unpleasant odor. It will all settle down once the females lay their eggs.
