I joined a Senior soccer league and needed a cup for protection. It's been literally decades since I have needed a cup for protection, and the last one I had has been discontinued. This combination of shorts and cup is great. They provide protection, comfort and ease of movement. I know I'm wearing a cup, but it's not objectionable, especially being older and having more sensitive skin. I've worn these shorts with the cup for over six hours and had no discomfort and believe me, it protects the "boys" perfectly. I think for next season, I'll try the cup with a Shock Doctor jockstrap to see if there is any difference. Very happy with my purchase and the shorts/cup performance.

Excellent support

These are pretty comfortable. I use them for BJJ and Kickboxing. It takes a bit of adjusting to get the cup in position, but it stays put pretty well during activities.

It's hard to think of the words comfortable and athletic protector in the same sentence, but I can spar and forget I'm wearing it.

Picked this up after having surgery and playing in a basketball tournament two weeks later. The cup was surprisingly comfortable and I wore the shorts with the cup in for about 6 hours straight each of the two days in a row. The suspension system they have keeps it in place very nicely with a lip on the pouch to keep the cup from moving up. Thankfully I did have this since in the first game I took 2 knees which would have definitely made the day rough. I have since worn it when playing basketball and barely notice that it there as the cup rides nicely and is very comfortable and flexible where needed and strong elsewhere.Pros: Very ComfortableEasy to use, and removeSaved the jewels a couple times alreadyCons: The writing on the shorts started coming off after the first wash but everything else held up nicelyBest way to get the cup in the right spot is to do it before you put the shorts on, while they are on it's tough, but it's comfortable enough that you can wear for a long time without any discomfort so small issue.

Good fit and support

I’m a 47 year old man 6’2 210 pounds. I’ve been playing baseball since age4. I play in an adult hardball league and recently the team has me play the middle infielder position. I normally pitch and play the outfield. I haven’t had a need for a cup/supporter since high school. I always hated the jock straps. So I looked into this shock doctor system. It is great. It hugs the boys without moving or having to adjust. Reading the reviews I decided on the ultra compression shorts because it’s elastic straps hold the cup in place.
