Unpleasant experience, but fast customer service
TL;DR - lost about 3 weeks and $50 on disposal, all because of their mistake. Screen has potential if perfect. Was not offered any discount or compensation for my costs and time. Review of the functionality of the screen: As mentioned below, my screen was flawed, but ignoring the flaws, the screen had great functionality. The screen material worked great with a UST and definitely rejected ambient light well. The controller to rise and lower the screen was responsive. The rising and lowering was fairly consistent. The motor didn't sound great, but I chalk it up to a flawed/defective unit since it doesn't seem to be a common review product. Review of my experience: I bought a "Like new" screen directly from vividstorm for $1199 + tax. Shortly after purchasing, they followed up to inform me that the screen had various minor flaws and provided photos. They asked if I could accept the screen's condition. I ultimately said no. The next day, I noticed that the order was not yet cancelled, so I submitted a request. Turns out, even though I did not accept the condition of the screen, it had been shipped anyways. I was offered an additional small discount to accept the shipment. After some negotiation, I accepted. Unfortunately, the screen I received was in far worse condition than was described and pictured. The picture provided previously only showed a small corner (not the whole screen) with minor screen flaws. The rest of the screen, not pictured, had multiple holes - big enough to see right through. It also had damaged accessories and it smelled heavily of cigarettes. I'm not sure anyone would ever consider this 'like new'. They requested that I deal with the disposal of the screen and that they'll offer me a replacement. I accepted, but unexpectedly, due to the size of the screen, disposal was not so straightforward or free. Skipping a couple weeks of emails, we tried to work through a suitable replacement, but it doesn't seem likely. I was offered different sizes, but I have specific sizing requirements. I was offered one that required drastic refurbishment, but I do not have such trust or faith due to my experience of a 'like new' screen as it is. I've given up and requested a refund today. It was promptly approved. As note, this isn't a one-star review because it does seem like they're working in good faith. They're also fairly responsive when you account for the time difference (they're based in China).

If you have the money, get it.
Incredible Picture even in well lit areas. The best part is there is zero setup. Just plug in and you’re ready to go. I use the USB dongle to auto close the screen when my samsung projector turns off. The quality of this is exceptional.

Amazon Horrible Service
Utter disaster. Even after paying so much for a item the amazon service is horrible. Amazon doesn’t even compensate for the mistakes they did absolutely waste of time to be on calls we they to get the item returned.

Really cool motorized ALR screen!
I chose a motorized screen for 3 main reasons: 1) I'm still using my plasma TV daily, so I needed something I could occasionally use in front of it, rather than mounted to a wall, 2) Even without a plasma, I wouldn't want the eye sore of a 100+ inch screen in my living room, and 3) I liked the idea of something relatively portable, and although awkward to carry because of its length and weight, in its closed form, this unit has a relatively easier time moving around and through doorways and downstairs to my basement than I imagine a full screen being able to maneuver. The motor function is smooth, pretty fast, and not too loud. It's nice that you can fine tune the height as well, and there's a remote that lets you do these main functions too. The ALR/CLR surface definitely does what it should by rejecting overhead lights and other ambient light in the room, but don't expect miracles in broad daylight if your viewing room lets in a lot of natural light. That said, I can still watch things via my USTP anytime, it simply won't be as punchy as it is the darker the room gets. A few cons: the screen surface isn't perfect. Upon close inspection, you can see little blemishes scattered about, but once you're in the proper-distanced seating position with the projector on, they seem to vanish. My biggest gripe is the left and right edges have a slight "curl" to them, so if you max out your projected image, you'll see the edges of your image distort slightly along those curled edges. However, if you adjust such that you leave a 1 or 2 inch blank border, you can defeat the edge distortion. This is worth mentioning because technically that gives you less than 100" of viewable screen size, and for that reason I wish this came as a 104" screen standard to accommodate that margin of error. Otherwise this thing is built like a tank, has a good screen material, works with 3D, and helps my new Optoma D2 look its best. Very cool.
