Disney Toy Story Signature Collection Buzz Lightyear Talking Action Figure

he's absolutely perfect. i'm in love with him. he's an exact replica of the movie buzz, i am very impressed. all his buttons work, his wings spread like they should, and he has no damages that i can see. perfect for any toy story fan.

Update... I finally figured out how to get the microphone part to work but the one wing was not on properly upon arrival so it comes on and off the other wing does notOur buzz was a Christmas gift and it arrived fast but when we opened him for our son one wing does not seem to work properly and we cant get the microphone to work properly not sure what the problem is when looked at the directions

My son beamed as he opened up this toy. The toy proceeded to let him down starting on day 1. Only after one day of use Buzz’s wing was limp and came out of socket. On day 3 his helmet holder broke and we can no longer use his rotating helmet.I called Thinkway Toys to figure out how best to remedy, and recirved a call from them at the number below:1-905-470-0223They were trying to coach me through how to pop the limp wing joint in and it dawned on me that this company had the nerve to not stand by their product and have me accept a defective toy. By the way they approached it, this must be common.Do not buy this, particularly at the high price tag.

Buzz showed up in our house a couple of years ago (in early 2010) and immediately was put through the ringer. This buzz can be posed, has wings that pop out (and pop off when turned with too much force -- a good feature), fingers that can be moved individually, a laser (a lightbulb that blinks! -- as Woody would say), and three buttons on his chest to initiate phrases.PROS: This is pretty much the doll from the first Toy Story movie. It's very durable -- ours has been dropped, kicked, banged into walls, made attempts at flying (falling with style!) and is still operating just fine. Saying that, Buzz's latest adventure was to have his helmet slammed to the ground, which did break the plastic hook. The helmet still operates fine, it just won't close completely now, but that was after nearly 2 years of playing -- not bad!) His wings also pop off if too much force is used -- as stated above. This happened with us quite a bit at the beginning, but the kids now know how much pressure to apply and they rarely come off.CONS: The instructions indicate that kids can interact with Buzz through a conversation. This isn't really the case. You can talk to him, but he is limited in his responses, which means that most of the time, the phrases that Buzz says following a question usually don't make any sense. He's also a little bulky and a bit heavy. His hard plastic and batteries add quite a bit of weight to this toy.OVERALL: This souped-up action figure is a good toy for Toy Story fans. Should provide plenty of entertainment (and be able to take a beating) for any number of kids.IMPORTANT TO NOTE -- We bought this directly from Amazon, so I can only vouch for the doll that we received directly from them, not from an outside seller. The doll that we received is a 12-inch talking Buzz Lightyear that came in the box resembling his "spaceship" as it looks in the first movie.

I bought this toy because I love Toy Story and had to have this definitive Buzz Lightyear. The toy is incredibly detailed, and feels exactly like Andy's Buzz should. The helmet opens and closes, the fingers are individually jointed, joints are more solid than any toy I've ever held, the phrases are Tim Allen's voice (which is great, but the absence of the movie's laser sound irks me), the paint is flawless (and glow in the dark!) and the packaging will make any Toy Story fan ooze with the excitement Andy had when. he first recieved his Buzz Lightyear. I'm an adult collector, and the two things that really made the buy worth it are the wings (which are far better than my childhood Buzz's), and the interactivity (which is sadly plagued by hearing way too much about friendship). Buzz reacts with speech and left-to-right head movement to nearly every thing you can imagine, while he is in interactive mode. He even moves his head towards his left arm when the communicator is open. Now as far as cons go: this is an excellent collector's piece for Disney, Pixar, and Toy Story fans, but with the hefty price tag and very delicate paint and stickers (that's right plain old paper stickers) it's not really a great buy for children. If this is intended for children I would advise them to play gently or Buzz won't be rescuing anything. Also the certificate of authenticity is a nice touch, but mostly bogus due to the cardboard being average quality and John Lasseter's signature being a print. Major letdown in the authenticity department (though the toy and packaging are marvelously authentic looking and feeling). In conclusion, one hell of a collectible with one hell of a price, but a lack of some trivialities that would've offered a better package. Overall value: $45 of $50 well spent.

I've spent my childhood watching Toy Story 1 and 2, all day, everyday. Had to buy two dvd's 'cause watching them that many times, they ended up all scratched. I'm that fanatic.So when I decided to buy this, I needed the real deal.Got really scared, watching all the bad reviews saying the got a cheap replica, or a children's version, etc. Even more scared when I saw, that all the bad reviews where in the year 2012, and the good ones where older. But still, buyed it, expecting the worse. Apparently, they use to sale the good one, and then in 2012, maybe the run out of stock, so they probably sold they cheap one...But now, in May 2013, what a good surprise when it arrived! It was the exact same one that they advertised. Is the one. With the 65+ phrases, real red laser light , the horizontal position sensor (for when he flies), all the articulations (even every finger in his hand articulate individually), etc. etc. etc.Really glad I buyed. Payed nearly 80 bucks for it, Great Lakes Toys was the seller. And loved it!

Veary sturdy but not fully articulated well made

Amazing toy ,when I was young I saw this amazing movie toy story one since then I always wanted this toy but it was no where to be found in my country, I was sad it was my dream toy ,I was 7 years old when I saw this movie ,luckily i found it here and after saving money I ordered it ,although the box was little damaged but the product was excellent ,it was just like one I saw in the movie ,it was perfect beyond my imagination,its 3 modes are amazing ,although people complained about the name ANDY not written on buzz's shoes but i don't mind it since its my toy I would like to write its name also when andy got it his name wasn't written since it was packed so it was quite accurate according to me ,I am delighted to have this toy and it has taken me to infinity and beyond ,the size and everything is perfect even the box and the certificate I got is signed by director of toy story and if you are a toy story fan and buzz's fan u will love this toy ,its perfect ,his voice is accurate and his paint glows in dark as well ,amazing toy .

Lo único que le falta es que el casco se abra apretando el Botón
