The Honor Student at Magic High School, Vol. 1

A fresh point of view that offers more emotions
If you're a fan of the main series The Irregular at Magic High School, then you'll love this spin-off.It offers readers a view from Miyuki's point of view. This is great in many ways since Miyuki does show a lot more emotion than her brother. It also shows the drastic differences between what her brother experiences from the main series to what Miyuki experiences as a star student. It makes the toxic relationship between the "Blooms" and "Weeds" less obvious from Miyuki's view since the hostility isn't directed at her. It truly does make the reader feel the gap between the two siblings grow based on how they're treated. It's a good read and allows you to see a different side with plenty of extra new content to keep readers entertained. You won't feel like you're just re-reading the main series.

An interesting take on the Irregular at Magic High. series.
As a fan of the Irregular at Magic High. series, this manga immediately grabbed my attention. For a spin-off of the original, The Honor Student at Magic High School has a good amount of new content, and the artwork is beautiful. As it features Miyuki as the main character, there is more of a focus on her and the course 1 students(although Tatsuya is still a big part of the story). There are 5 chapters total, covering the days leading up to Miyuki's enrollment in first high, and the first few days of classes. With the divide between course 1 and 2 students explored from a different angle compared to the original, The Honor Student at Magic High School is proving to be an enjoyable take on a familiar plot.

I am an Irregular junkie.
These are not like the light novels. They read very quickly. They add some flesh to characters not in the first 11 volumes of the Irregular at Magic High, which I bought and read. Oh yes, until you figure out in what order to read what you will think you are putting a puzzle together with half the pieces upside down. But I liked all 9 volumes.

Five Stars
I like all of them & the video. I am buying all the books & the manga. I read them often. I am looking forward to buying the anime, too. When will the anime be released in the States? I watch it on Crunchy Roll regularly, but I want to own it. The creator should get his fair share for his original and enjoyable work. I hope there are more to come!

Thought I was getting the whole series.
Surprise! Nope, only the story from the point of view of that course 1 students. When can we expect the course 2 perspective. The Irregular at Magic High School to be available on kindle?

Nice extension of the major story lines
The art work is very good, and the story line complements and expands the base story in “Irregular”. I enjoyed it, but you need a large tablet of monitor to view it on to fully appreciate it.

Less technical spin-off from the "Irregular at Magic High School" series .
If you want to find out more about the magic high school world, this spin off series may be for you. It gives Miyuki's and other characters points of view of the events that occured in the original "Irregular" series. Some extra background scenes are added. The narrative is not as technically detailed as the original but it doesn't need to be. This series may be aimed at a slightly younger audience but does give some insight into the supporting characters.

It was ok.
It was ok, about what I was expecting for a manga based on a light novel that has already been made into a tv show. I liked seeing it fro the view point of another character, top marks from me but I'm not yet ready to invest in the next one.

Spin-off de Mahouka
