STAEDTLER triplus Micro 0.5mm Mechanical Pencils 3-pack: Retractable & Refillable #2 Mechanical Pencils with Twist Erasers, Ergonomic Triangular Grip for Writing, Drawing, Engineering & Drafting

These are some of the smoothest writing pencils I've ever used, which surprises me considering they are mechanical pencils. The scrunched part near the top is a bit too bendy for my liking, but it doesn't affect the overall useability of the pencil, which write amazing and erase very well too.

You can’t beat Staedtler for well-engineered writing instruments. These have a very nice weight to them. I also like the triangular shape. It’s great for a traditional tripod grip. The edges are rounded so that they don’t dig into your fingers. These would be suitable for students, but they’re not out of place in a professional office setting. They’re easy to use, and they don’t have any pesky little quirks that make them annoying to use. They just work, every time. (I take my Staedtler Black Box everywhere, but I lost my pencil from it when I loaned it out. I got this package to replace it, and I’m so happy to have extras to keep in other places now!)

These are narrow with a triangle body so they are easy to hold. Perfect and my favorite mechanical pencil.

A great mechanical pencil. Always reliable. Worth the money. Staedtler continues to make excellent quality writing implements, especially their mechanical pencil line.

My favorite artist on you tube uses these so I had to get them. They are everything she said they were. Comfortable grip.

No, these are not the "ne plus ultra" pencils that Staedtler produced 30+ years ago, but they must be the best the market will support. Top flight. • Now that the kids are older, I've been giving each a pack of pencils as back to school gifts for the past few years. They do appreciate the quality. • Nicest things about these (for me) is that I can stick them in a shirt pocket without the metal feed tube sticking through the seam. • Amazon stocking? Well, let's just say you can tell where the mouth-breathers exist in the system. All orders were impeccably placed. All deliveries were impeccably delivered. Delivery #3 finally provided the desired product.

Durability is not ideal. Tried to use as my daily mobile notebook pencil. Mechanism to advance lead fails within about one week on all three in the pack I received.

I'm slowly transitioning all my writing supplies to Staedtler. It has proven itself to be a reliable, excellent brand. I appreciate the triplus shape of these mechanical pencils. They are easy to grip and write with. However, I'm not impressed with the lead in these. It breaks too easily. I have other brands with .5 lead, and they don't seem to break as easily. I do think it says something about Staedtler that I'd rather buy their .7 pencils than got back to using a different brand.

I have always had mechanical pencils in my repertoire and I have always loved Staedtler products. When designing or sketching parts to be made or make modifications, I like using a good pencil that performs well. These pencils are easy to hold and are so smooth, that I bought a second set for my son, the artist, who is constantly doodling. My boss who always has pencils in his folder really appreciated these as a gift and found them invaluable as they keep a consistent fine line when drafting or sketching. I do recommend these pencils.
