I have never been a regular coffee drinker and rarely indulged in a latte or cappucino. The local coffee house and Starbucks are just so overpriced, it seemed like an insane daily expense. However, after vowing to reduce my Dr Pepper consumption, yet still needing the caffeine, I bought the Nestle Dolce Gusto machine and a variety of the various coffees for it. After three months I find I am drinking two or three of these per day and have cut my cola habit in half and significantly reduced my sugar intake as well. (Nice bonus there!) The Latte Macchiato is a good one. It's got a simple flavor without being too strong or bitter. The milk doesn't have alot of sugar (no artificial sweeteners). I do add a teaspoon of sugar to the entire drink. I tend to make my latte larger than the portion size suggested on the box - I don't care for really strong coffee. The Vanilla version of this drink is lightly sweetened & flavored - this one is not. You could add a shot of caramel syrup to this to "fancy" it up for guests very easily. I like this one so much I've done Amazon's Subscribe & Save plan with it. Compared the local big box store prices per box, Amazon's prices are about $1.50 cheaper per box!

First of all, the reviewer who said if you like Starbucks Caramel Macchiato thinks this is close, they should have their palate tested as the drink at the chain has syrup flavoring and CARAMEL sauce all over the top of WHIPPED CREAM. This however, is a powdered milk that heats to liquid with a weakish "espresso" added. If you throw a 1/4 tsp of raw sugar in it you might have a bit of comparison but otherwise no. This said, by far my favorite of all of the drinks that are available for this machine (sans the mocha as I have yet to try that one). It's barely better than the cappucino though, with this machine you get what you can buy from Nestle. The manufacturer would do well to make the Nespresso coffee available for these as the quality of the espresso roast is far better in those bar coded pods. That said, it's all taste. Machine is only as good as the coffee and the bottom line is that I normally enjoy an americano (real one that is) and this "latte" does the job in the morning IF I drink two.

I bought these pods along with a new Nespresso Vertuo expecting them to be compatible. They are NOT. The Vertuo must use only the Nespresso pods. Bummer because I have really enjoyed the Nescafe Dolce Gusto pods all across Europe. They taste great. Now I will have to search and find which Nespresso pods can duplicate the great taste of the Dolce gusto pods.

Ordered this all the way to South Africa. Arrived a day earlier and in perfect condition. We haven't been able to get any pods here, so it was such a relief, with professional and quick service!

I decided to order because this is my favorite flavor but I cant find it here anymore. I was a little apprehensive when I ordered because I wasn't sure if it was going to arrive safely or if the product would have an expiration date too close. I'm happy to say that the pods came neatly packed and they're not expired, I would completely buy again from this seller.

I do like these and so do people who visits instant milk drinks that really really seem like they could come from Starbucks and you can get Starbucks pods in the dolce Gusto format. Serve in a glass or clear cup because the layers of could from milk coffee etc really do look like the pic on the box.
