Tried connect Sony Digital Surround Processor (a box that comes with Sony wireless headphones and can extract audio from HDMI bitstream) using this optical cable to Logitech THX speakers and it didn't work.However same cable worked fine when connected LG SmartTV to same Logitech speakers.So not sure was it problem with the cable or with Sony DSP.Overall impression from the cable is good though. Build quality seems OK, doesn't look "empty", is not too rigid, doesn't crackle when bent, didn't notice pops or breaks during playback (usual symptoms of bad digital link). In other words, looks as quality cable, therefore not sure what could cause incompatibility with Sony

unlike many cheap audio cables (some are extremely thin and fragile) this cable is girthy. It has a solid rugged feel to it. coated in a nice mesh fabric too. highly recommended.

I bought this optical cable to connect my TV to a sound bar. I could not tell the different between the optical cable and HDMI-ARC. Since my TV has only 2 HDMI ports, I decided to buy the cable to free up an HDMI port.This cable is very well built and works great so far.

Just got these today and wow, these things are high quality. The cord is a nicely braided and strong. The optical ends are metal material (they have some weight to it giving you the durability) and it even has covers to cover up the optical fiber end when not in use.Just hooked it up to my PC and to my desktop speakers and the sound is superb. Definitely recommend these.
