I actually needed sensors that I can communicate with over I2C, but these come configured in standalone mode. A few minutes with the soldering iron and some fine gauge wire fixed that problem. The chips work as advertised, no complaints whatsoever. One thing to consider is that these chips actually have seven channels but only five are hooked up in the default configuration. I got all seven channels to work but I could not match the sensitivity of the last two channels to the rest.
