If only all suppliers would have this attention to detail!First, I purchased this based on its popularity on Amazon supported by positive reviews. It replaced a deteriorating 10 year-old seat on a Toto toilet that is otherwise in like-new (well, a toilet is only new once) condition. As installed, it looks as "made for" the toilet as the original seat; that is to say, it doesn't look like an awkward third-party accessory.Now what prompted this review is how I wish all manufacturers would be this diligent:* Design: They've added value with the quick release for easy cleaning. I just installed the thing so don't have experience cleaning it, but I can tell you it'll be easier to do a deep cleaning than with other seats.* Manufacturing: Quality seems excellent. The seat assembly is flawless and nicely finished, and operates exactly as I'd expect. The mounting hardware is high-quality and looks super-durable; you could mount the seat to the ceiling and hang from it with this hardware.* Shipping: Arrived on schedule, well packaged/protected. The mounting hardware was pre-assembled in the correct order to reinforce the assembly instructions, which is very helpful. The instructions are detailed, thorough, and correct. And there is a notice about how to handle missing parts, including both telephone and email contact information. (No parts were missing.) Here's my only opportunity for improvement - I wish all the packaging were recyclable or compostable.* Communication: Upon shipping, the manufacturer sent a confirmation along with a copy of the installation instructions since this seat has its unique quick-release mechanism that is different from most competitors. Contact info is included in the shipment. And the company president has his email address on the website, for heaven's sake. This is a company that knows the value of customer service.* Usability: Well, it's a toilet seat. It has to do four things: provide comfortable and secure seating (check), be easy to clean (double-check), close softly as advertised (check), and last forever (TBD since I just got it, but looks promising).I don't currently need more toilet seats, but this will definitely be at the top of my list the next time I'm in the market for one.

Just installed this toilet seat in under 10 min. Everything is perfect with this product: packaging, documentation, installation and function. There was plenty of padding in the manufacturer's box and the hardware was even pre-assembled so you could see how it goes together before install. The documentation definitely has the touch of someone with perfection in mind. There is no possible way anyone can screw up the install with the excellent pictures and descriptions. Each piece of hardware is very well constructed: mounting bases are tough ABS plastic, all metal pieces are stainless and gaskets are molded for exact fit. The seat itself is of superb appearance and quality with nice molded-in grey 'pads' for the bowl. As far as function, this seat looks to be extremely well engineered. It has a positive click-lock on the mounting bases and removal is flawless using the button on the back. This function alone is extremely beneficial to fully clean the toilet. Sat on the lid and bowl and both feel perfect with no movement and no 'sinking in the bowl' feeling. I'm pleased that this seat is made entirely of quality polypropylene, having previously owned a wood slow-close seat that deteriorated from normal cleaning.I'm very skeptical about consumer products, especially ones that get used often and can be more of an annoyance if not constructed well. However, I can find absolutely NOTHING wrong with this product. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and will be buying two more for the house.

Hard to say I love a toilet seat but this one is really good. As stated in the many other reviews, this is quite a seat. It's well constructed and the material used is decent. The seat itself has a "soft" feel although it's hard plastic and it's not "cold". I replaced a 10 year old Toto toilet seat that gave up the slow closure feature and the lid just slammed.It was very easy to install and I just followed the instructions. WEAR GLOVES to remove old seat and watch out for the yucky mess once the old seat is removed. (I should have take a picture!) Clean and wipe the area before putting on the new seat. Then the instructions are very clear and the mounts do offer some adjustments to move the seat forward just a bit to lift the seat. It also seems that there is an ability to adjust the mounts to fit the width of the holes in the event your toilet mounting holes aren't perfect. I put on the white caps vs. the silver ones since there's no need to make the toilet flashy. The seating is secure and doesn't slide around when seated so you're secure.The removal and mounting the seat is very easy and it will make cleaning much more efficient. The seat itself is lighter than the Toto's old seat, but lowering by itself is not a weight issue. In summary:PROS: Easy to install, the cover lip on the lid does go over the seat which is important when you flush. (Always flush with the lid down. Have you ever gotten sprayed by a waterfall or a wave? Same effect and you don't want the toilet spray airborne). The seat and lid does slow close as it should.CONS: There are really no cons, perhaps the surface can get scratched easily but don't plan to put heavy things on top of the lid.HINT: Wear gloves when taking off the old toilet seat as you'll find quite a few surprises there and clean the toilet surface before mounting the new toilet seat on the toilet bowl. No need to over-tighten since the gasket and rubber washers hold the mounts in place.Other than that, the seat is a wonderful place to relax when you need to go. Enjoy!

Very impressed with this unit. Usual seats tend to loosen up and wobble side to side. Not this unit. The attachment parts are easily installed and stay put. The simple removal method allows easy cleaning. The slow close works very well and allows the lid to by pushed down faster if one is impatient. Priced higher than others but well worth the cost.
