Can this be used on silk and wool oriental rug?

It's necessary to apply this product after every time the carpet is washed?

It depends on how the washing was accomplished. We use the product often because the object is to keep the carpet from getting stained. Even using it an extra time for added protection can prevent a stain from ruining a good carpet.

Indicates "upside down" to spray. Shouldn't the can be at an angle?

It’s at a slight angle for it to spray on a floor, however if u read my review it did not matter, at approximately half way through it started streaming not spraying, and not foaming? So I really can’t tell u?
