ENGO Blister Prevention Patches | Oval Starter 6 Pack

I am a long distance walker, hiker, and backpacker. I have been using these patches for several years. They prevent blisters on the balls and heels of my feet. They also work for placement anywhere needed. I have been experimenting for over 30 years to build a combination of boots, socks, insoles, and blister prevention that works. I have found a few that work but none better than: Merrell Moab 2 GTX Mid boots, Wright socks, Sofsole Perform Athlete insoles, and ENGO patches. I give most of the credit to the Wright socks and ENGO patches. I suspect that combination would work with many different boot and insole combos. I have never had any trouble with the adhesive and I do a lot of my walking in the heat of Texas and Arizona. I'm on road and trail approximately 150-175 miles a month doing between 5 and 20 miles each hike (I even did a 40 miler last spring. My feet were sore and tired but without blisters or even hot spots.) I get 4 or 5 months out each set of these patches. I think the double layer Wright socks are taking up a lot of the sliding and making the patches last longer. That's a good thing because they are a bit pricey. I would like to say I will stop buying them because they cost too much but I won't. That's because I'm an old retired guy now and I need all the help I can get to stay out in the woods. These work really well for preventing blisters when I go skateboarding. I dont feel any friction and its very comfortable. I would definitely buy again. Only downside ks I wish more came with the package, especially for the cost.

Changed my review to 4/5 stars because the value is not there… I’m assuming there’s just no competition for a product like this and they just own the market and I just paid $50 for some relatively high quality stickers… I’m a marathon runner and these have corrected an incredibly common problem area I have in many shoes (watch the YouTube video titled “edge blisters” I believe it is put out by this company that makes these) on the medial arch where the insole and the shoe separate. The only problem I have is that these are so expensive. They are a quality product that work great, but since I have to do the double insole protect method (4 stickers per pair of shoe), it’s like adding $16 to every running shoe. I just ordered the 30 pack so I hope I don’t have to think about buying more anytime soon.

I frequently develop blisters in the arch areas of my feet from running. I have tried different shoe brands, different shoe sizes, different socks, foot glide, bandages...I have even tried shoe fittings prior to a purchase. Nothing would work to prevent these arch blisters from forming as soon as the number of miles per week would begin to increase. Halfway through a recent marathon training program, the blisters were so painful that I was forced to take a full week off from running. I stumbled upon the ENGO patches while searching for blister prevention options and figured they would be worth a try. They worked immediately. I applied the patches to both shoes as described within the instructions. They provided instant relief for the blisters and allowed me to resume running while the blisters continued to heal. The patches remained "stuck" to the shoes in the exact location they were applied, even through the remainder of the marathon training program and the actual marathon. I have now ordered additional ENGO patches and have added them to all of my running shoes. I could not be happier with these!

I rubbed through my third pair of tennis shoes on the inside back heel to the point I couldn’t wear them without getting a painful blister. Nothing worked to fit it until this. I took a very small piece of foam and filled in the crater I had made and covered it with these strips. Worked like a charm. No more friction. Saved my shoes and feet. I will preemptively put these in any future tennis shoes.

These didn’t do what they’re designed to do. They wouldn’t even stick to the back of the shoe the heel part to prevent blisters the minute you put your shoe on they just slid.

I'm one of the people this product was designed for--I've had terrible problems with blisters on my knobby heels most of my adult life. Breaking in a new pair of running shoes or (worse) hiking boots is difficult, painful and takes longer than it should. With a family trip coming up to the summit of South Sister in Central Oregon I was faced with more than 20 total miles of hiking, including the steep stuff near the top of the mountain, with only minimal time to break in a much-needed new pair of hiking boots. My first conditioning hike with the new boots in the Columbia River Gorge seemed all too familiar--heel blisters pretty quickly going up a steep incline. Once back home, I started looking online for something other than the same old remedies and found this product. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong sized patches--I wanted the big heal patches, but got the six-piece oval kit by mistake. I didn't realize my error until the patches arrived and I was out of time--we were headed to the mountain. I didn't have what I wanted, but I really wanted to try this product....so I made the best of it. Having mapped my bad areas with a sharpie, I tried to put oval patches in the most strategic places on in my boots and off we went for our three-day hike/climb. Twenty miles later....no heel blisters, none. The patches are damaged due to dirt and friction, but they got me through. Ordering the CORRECT patches for my next trip.

I really wanted to like these. Despite being excited by how promising the reviews were, I still managed to get horrible blisters on the outside edges of my big toes and the outsides of the balls of my feet after putting them in my sneaks. While these may have helped a little, by mile 4 of a 10k, I was getting hot spots and by the end of the race, I had quarter-sized blisters. Total bummer. I'm giving them 3 stars because they adhered very well to my insoles and my sneakers, especially after the blow dryer trick. In all fairness, I've tried 8 different shoe brands due to toe/foot pain when training for half marathons and am currently running with custom-fit orthotics and Altra Torins, and still getting blisters, so I realize it may just be me, not the blister patches!

These are the top rated anti blister items for walkers. It really sucks to get a blister in the middle of your planned hike, so carry some of these in your pack during your preparation to deal with the problem spots in your footware. For anyone who has never used these there are suggestions and links to videos to help on the pack.

My threading on the back of my new shoes were scratching my skin really badly. My friend was telling me that I had to just keep wearing it to break into them but I felt that it wasn't worth the pain. So I got these patches and they work really well. I applied the large oval patch on the backs of my shoe and then used a scissor to cut the tips into strips (in the pictures) so that they could fold nicely on the edges. They're really sticky and they're sticky enough such that if you mess up/it's not straight, you can peel off that region to reposition it. From the pictures I thought it would be a felt texture but it feels more like a smooth duct tape-kind of surface. Yes, my shoes look a little weird now with blue tape on the back, but I don't care because the shoes are comfortable and comfort is the number 1 priority for me.

I am very blister prone, used these plus the larger version under the balls of my feet for a 100 mile race and had zero blisters. Highly recommend. Ordered more for my new shoes, they are now essential adds.

These have saved my inner arches! I am so surprised but so happy that I trusted the reviews. New trainers, and a few runs in I kept getting blisters on my inner arches. These patches have completely stopped this happening; I can feel the smooth movement of the sock against the patch. Worn twice for 6K runs so far and they have stayed completely in place and no blisters. I think they are expensive considering they have a 6 week suggested time frame, but I’ll be buying them again when needed. Very adhesive and comfortable. No bunching or peeling (but only used for 2 runs so far)
