Really awesome tool but proprietary dust collection
Okay so if this is your first Festool brand tool, One thing to be aware of which I didn't know is that the dust collection connection for this thing is kind of a proprietary hookup that will not work with most shop vacs. They expect you to use their dust collectors which are supposedly really awesome but very expensive. So don't make the mistake I made and buy this thing thinking you'll be good to go. You can probably rig it up with tape or some unofficial adapters to work on a generic Shop-Vac. So far I've just taken it outside to cut and had it spit the dust on the floor but that's obviously not ideal. Okay dust collection woes of a poor man aside, This thing cuts through wood like butter! The track it uses makes it easy to line up the perfect cuts and with the corded power this thing just zips through wood and creates very clean lines. The instructions are great and there are tons of videos online too if you want. The build quality is superb and having the box to store it in is great so it stays protected and organized. Overall I really like it but one of these days I'm going to have to also get a dust collector which are several hundred dollars minimum. They have a lot of different dust collectors and I'm actually going to have to research which one to get but none of them are cheap by usual definitions.

It’s a Gem!
If you think you’d like a Festool and want to spend for the higher priced tools, buy this track saw. Next to nothing when it comes to dust spewing out while cutting. The accuracy is superb as it applies to cut quality with the supplied blade, when utilizing the track attachment. Making thickness depths is right on top and the gauge is very accurate. Power is a plus for cutting both sheet goods and 2X stock. Drink the “Green Kool Aid” and you won’t be sorry.

Great Track Saw
This is an excellent German made tool. It's easy to use and provides smooth accurate cuts. I had a problem with one of the parts and the vendor worked with Festool to get what I needed with the least amount of trouble.

Zero regrets going with this saw over cheaper alternatives
Works better than had expected after researching different models for a long time, I am very happy with the performance and the quality of the saw and the cuts. Cut through 1" oak like it wasn't there, and clean enough doubt would need to joint it for a glue up. Mostly have used for plywood building cabinets where large sheets are difficult in my shop to get through the table saw, cuts are also clean and the chip guard works excellent. Also very nice dust collection, almost nothing makes it to the floor of my shop. One complaint is the dust collection connector doesn't appear to fit any of my current attachments, this is my first Festool brand, but my other tools, mostly Bosch, connectors aren't the same size so may need to order a hose or 3d print a connector.

Amazing tool, does so much
I’m not a professional, just a woodworking enthusiast who enjoys really high quality tools. In the past I used a circular saw with my own jigs or a kreg jig. I got so sick of how much time it took to set up cuts, really sucked the joy out of woodworking for me. Every single cut would take me minutes finding square, clamping, making sure my saw wasn’t hitting the clamps, etc). I knew I wanted a better solution for rip cuts and did not want a table saw for a variety of reasons (safety, portability, taking up space in my garage workshop), so I started looking into track saws. Well, this is the entry level of the definitive track saw brand. We already had a festool dust extractor for sanding (my wife refinishes furnitue), so I figured why not just stay in the family and get a matching festool track saw. I researched the other models including the ones with the kickback guard. I agonized over this TS 55 or the 60, but ultimately decided I hadn’t earned the need to get the higher end model and it was already expensive enough, so I picked this one. In the weeks since, I’ve learned so much about using a track saw. I ultimately decided to splurge and get the MFT/3 as well. With the accessories that come on the MFT/3 I now have a complete replacement for my miter saw as well! An unexpected surprise. But, ultimately, the MFT/3 isn’t a requirement to get tons of value out of this track saw, and when I start my upcoming cabinet project I will likely just make some cuts on some foam board on the floor anyways. I think the MFT/3 shines with this for working with solid wood and cross cuts so if you do a lot of that you might consider it. I still have a lot to learn about this tool but I’m beyond happy with it, it’s so easy to pull out and do complex cuts in a fraction of the time it took me and I’m able to enjoy making things again without all the fuss of lesser tools.

Great saw
I mean, what do you say? It's a Festool. It's expensive, comes with a nice storage case, works great. Could you get something that works just as well for less money? Yeah. This was a splurge tool investment, and knowing that I don't regret it.

Precision Cuts for the Cabinet Maker
This is my first Festool purchase. As a first-time cabinet builder, I purchased this to break down my 4' x 8' sheets of plywood. Could not be more pleased with the results I achieved. Super accurate and very smooth cuts. For some of my smaller pieces I was using my Delta Contractors table saw and realized going to the Festool track saw gave me better results, so I switched these cuts to use the track saw. Also used to cut down some maple 3/4" stock and the cut was like it came out of a jointer. Also using to cut some man-made countertop. While Festool carries a premium, this was well worth the premium.

Best cuts you can imagine (where a track saw can be used)
This track saw provides the best cuts for cutting large panels; it is a bit pricey. BUT it does the job wonderfully. I used it for cutting 3/4 baltic plywood -- exactly as laidout; I used it for cutting birch butcher block (1.5 inch thick) -- perfect cuts and it didn't even appear to slow down in either case I highly recommend it
