Swooney royal romance
This book had a little bit of everything. A very slow burn romance, medium angst, sweetness and protectiveness. Two princes betrothed since birth and brought up together have to come to an arrangement for how to be married when only one of them is gay. The story was full of intrigue, some miscommunication and a journey of discovery.

Royally Fabulous
Loved it! I adored Angelo and Yuri’s story. It was so wonderfully laid out as their relationship progressed throughout their life and betrothal. I was immediately drawn into their story and devoured it over the weekend. It evoked great emotion in me from laughter, some sadness, and sexy times that had me fanning myself. What I loved most was how Angelo’s sexual awakening was portrayed. It wasn’t overnight, or like a light switch, it was almost a conscious awakening. Angelo didn’t consider it a bi-awakening, but rather a Yuri-awakening as the only man he had eyes for was Yuri. It was such a natural take on coming to realize that love is not about parts, but the person behind the parts. It was lovely and organic, and not surprising coming from this author. Angelo and Yuri’s story was beautiful and sexy and I couldn’t recommend it more. 100 books in, Royally Screwed is definitely in my Top Five reads of the year so far.

A pretty entertaining royal story
3.75-4The title's a standalone MM Contemporary Romance with a HEA. Themes royals, arranged marriage, from childhood pests to lovers, gfy, bdsm. Some angst but not a lot in my opinion. Trigger warning, description of abuse consequences concerning the other mc by an outside party. It's a nice read if you enjoy the themes. If you're definitely not a fan of reading any kind of bdsm at all, I'd leave this one unread. If you don't mind or if you enjoy it, it might be to your taste. Lots of dialogue and no long boring descriptions. Entertaining.

Soo flipping good!!!
Holy cow, you guys!!!!LVD wrote this story masterfully. Just when I didn't know how much more I could take, I was begging, and, thankfully, given more.I adore these men so much—Yuri in his longing angst and Angelo in his reluctant yet fiercely protective selves. So much love, connection, and fiery chemistry. There's so much to unpack in their journey and themselves. So much self-discovery about life and how we are defined, by self and others, which is done beautifully here.Angst. Beauty. Questioning. Wit. Humor. Love. Fierceness. Vulnerability. Heat. And so much more. This book has the best of what defines a good romance story.I highly enjoyed and happily recommend this read. I can’t wait for the audio release to experience it all over again.

Royally Scrumptious...is that a word??
Another winner by Ms. Van Dorn who is an automatic buy for me...sight unseen (or unread blurb)...this wonderful tale of two Princes from fictitious kingdoms who are betrothed at birth, never mind it was supposed to be a male/female...and are essentially brought up together mostly unwillingly. They have a bit of a love/hate relationship that only deepens as they grow up and mature. Yuri and Angelo are wonderfully complex characters, a hallmark of Ms Van Dorn's books and this is no exception to that rule. Lots of angst, some wonderful kink, very smart men and unexpected events but mostly just a great character driven story. LOVED IT!! Highly Recommend.

Fun and low angst
I loved Yuri and Angelo’s story! I liked the progression of the story from childhood antagonists to adult lovers. The plot points that they were betrothed from birth, despite Yuri being unexpectedly male, and Angelo being Yuri-sexual were cute. All in all, a fun, low angst read

Cute
Solid 3.5 stars. This was cute, probably the best-written piece this author has put out. I’m not much for celebrity or royal romances, but this was cute. I’m curious about Archie.

Great Story
I really enjoyed this book. I don't normally read royalty books just not my cup of tea but I always have enjoyed this author so I gave it a try. Really glad I did this Washburn read. The story was entertaining, the romance was sweet , and the sexy times were hot.

Nearly Four Stars...
Van Dorn is an American author, so why she chose to write in Britishisms, yet with American spelling was an odd choice, plus she needs a better beta reader as some of her British colloquialisms were not right - too clunky and not correct (should have made a note of them as I was reading, but they caused me to wince!). It tells the story of two Princes Yuri & Angelo from non-real kingdoms who are betrothed to each other at birth, accept, as it turns out, only one of them is gay.The story moves at quite a pace from their childhood to their teens and schooling where their lives are constantly entwined due to their family's trade deal/bethrothal, but the rest of the book is their time at university where their relationship comes to a head & changes. The author is a BDSM fan, there's always an element of it in her writing and this was no different - Yuri's need for certain things. This book was enjoyable and very readable, but there were too many irritations for me. The clunky Britishisms with American spelling (weird!) and what happened to Lord D**kface - or should that be, what didn't happen. Justice needed to be served and it wasn't - perhaps that again is as a result of the author's country of origin where justice is often more of the kill them/get a deal variety... Another slight annoyance was the over-the-top conduct of certain members of Angelo's family - just made me roll my eyes! That said, it was fun, but could have been that bit better.

Super cute
Loved the writing style, gorgeous storyline, gorgeous main characters, super hot steam. Angelo & Yuri are so cute together and I loved how their relationship developed over the course of the book. It was also nice to read that Angelo didn’t need to define his sexuality, love is just love.. I read on KU but will be buying it as well as I loved it so much.

Surprisingly good
I really like this author but find current era monarchy romances very silly, I always end up thinking of the British royal family and they do nothing for me ... This had surprising depth and development. It explores two codependent princes and their spanking kink. I ended up caring for both characters.Well worth it.

3.5 stars
Almost 4 stars and I would like to say the story definitely deserved a 4 star until the end, which seemed a bit rushed. The story is very sweet. I really liked the relationship between our heroes it was very cute. The few things didn't like about the book as I mentioned before was the ending and apart from that was in the beginning the author said, it's British English written with American spelling. As much as this does not make sense, while reading the novel also the language didn't feel British at all except for a few forced slangs. I can only assume that author is an Anglophile and wanted to include the British mannerisms to give more plausibility to our royal characters. Which them being from an imaginary country didn't need it.Overall it's a sweet book and definitely a one time read.

I wasn’t sure I’d like this story, but I did. This author is a favourite of mine and this book is well written, the story flows well and the characters are beautifully complex and real. Team Angelo all the way!
