Kuchenprofi 18/10 Stainless Steel Funnel with Filter

Sometimes, you get a tool for a certain use, only to discover that it is so well crafted that it becomes a kitchen staple. I am exploring canning and this funnel/sieve combination has quickly become an absolute must have. The funnel is large and stable when pouring your ingredients into canning jars ranging from 1/2 pint to 1/2 gallon. The sieve seats firmly inside without there being a seam to catch solids, making cleanup a breeze.Whether you are straining cheese curds from whey, seeds from tomato sauce, or simply sifting flour into a bowl, this sturdy stainless steel funnel with sieve inset is an exceptional addition to any advanced cook's utensil drawer. Highly recommend.

I bought six of these to help in straining Maple Sap during the Maple Syrup making process.I also bought six small stainless steel Milk Cans, to hang from the TAPS or SPILES on the Maple Trees, to collect the sap.I put the funnel into the opening of the Milk Can, after I have taken the lid off of course, and the sap drips through the sieve or filter, that is in the bottom of the funnel. The sieve fits perfectly in the bottom of the funnel, and that is essential, because if the sieve didn't fit, debris would enter the Milk Can, and the funnel with the sieve is the very reason I bought the funnels in the first place. The sieve itself is a fine mesh, so it can filter out very small particles. A lot of fine craftsmanship went into the making of these funnels. The fit of the sieve is not sloppy or loose in any way. It is machined like a fine automobile!!!! The stainless steel is blemish and scratch free, shiny and perfect, and all six funnels arrived in PERFECT condition. They took a while to get to me here, in Ontario, but are worth the wait. I would definitely highly recommend!
