This was made in China. Sloppy wheel . Had to return.

Have used Starrett measuring devices for years. I got lazy years ago and purchased digital caliber (not Starrett) and got tired of needing or buying batteries. The quality is great and feels good (smooth). Very happy with the product. Would recommend and buy again.

Starrett never fails to impress with its measuring instruments. This set of dial calipers is really handy and accurate. The traversing gear runs really smooth and won't jump on you while adjusting as long as you keep chips out of it. The locking screw is also easy to reach without losing your measurement. It is a really good caliper and definitely worth the price.

At first thought it was nice tool. Within first 3 days dropped them, about 6 -8 inches onto work bench. They will NOT zero, canโt get them open to re-clock. When closed, zero is plus or minus 5 thousandths. If you donโt mind paying this for a measuring tool that is accurate to within 10 thousandths of an inch, go for it. THESE ARE COMPARABLE TO $30 PAIR, NEED TO GO IN THE TRASH! If you look this product up, it says measurement accuracy +_ 0.001". This is not true, mine is good only to 0.01"
