This cell phone holder is all plastic. How is this thing so expensive? I think it's just paying for a name brand. I do find it helpful but I forgot how much I paid for this a few years ago. And I bought one for my dad! SMH So I had originally used this in a tiny hatchback car with manual transmission and the cup holder was behind the gear, so it was positioned almost to the side of me. I eventually stopped using it because of the position in my car. Now I have a larger suv, so it sits closer to the front of the vehicle, which is nicer. The convenience of having the phone facing you is very nice, but it's still so short and is very low. You have to constantly look down if you need it for directions. I've often thought that I would like to have something that would somehow fit on the air vent or the dash because it's more aligned with your line of sight. I just can't justify buying anything else because this was so expensive, and overall, it does the job. I like that once you position it to your phones size, you can slip your phone in very quickly when getting into the car. I like how easy it is to charge your phone while it's in the holder. I love the extension because it does get the phone higher up and you can play with the angle of how you want it. And if you are not using your phone primarily for directions, then having it in the holder is nice for if you want to start/stop podcasts etc. It's nice to have a designated spot for your phone so you are not searching for it. The only major con: The plastic extension broke. I thought that it was done for and I would just have to take the extension off, but then I thought to look on their website. AND! There is a lifetime warranty. So I wrote to the company and they actually sent me a new extension piece, no questions asked. They do have very good customer service. I guess I found out about this company from the commercials on TV, but if it wasn't for that, I don't know if I would have bought this exact one. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and knowing that I have a lifetime warranty.

Exactly what I needed

Have seen the advertisements for the Cup Phone for years. My husband expressed interest, and I was all in since he uses his phone for directions ALL THE TIME! Just bought the new, upgraded version that allows a horizontal or vertical view of the phone and now, the ability to extend the height. A few things: 1) Because some phones are a little heavier, with the extended height, the phone is a little more wobbly due to being top heavy. 2) Was REALLY SURPRISED the base does NOT fit snuggly in the cup holder, again making the item vulnerable to some movement. 3) WISHED they would have made the extension arm a little thicker to compensate for these two issues. 4) Since the overall product has movement and does so when there is a need for adjustment, it causes the driver to be a little more distracted trying to achieve the best position. (Not a lot, some) May have looked at other models now available. Recommend seller.

To be honest I think the design is clunky compared to others out there. Also, I do not like the tiered cost model. Like the airlines, you pay extra for each feature. Telescoping is extra. Rotated view extra. Really!. To rotate your phone is extra. Having said that I purchased anyway. It was a gift. And Weathertech was specifically requested. Also, I prefer to support made in USA. I did install the unit and it was easy to do so. It was a durable product and well made. So you cant go wrong if you dont mind the tiered coating.

We own another one and love it! It stays put and holds your phone well. It makes using GPS easier.

I am very pleased with the CupFone with Extension. It is well built. Fits perfectly. Adjusts easily in both Portrait and Landscape view. I previously used a cheap knock-off of the CupFone and it was just that - CHEAP. I highly recommend the CupPhone.

Essendo a strati ne ho tolti 2 per farlo incastrare bene nel mio portabicchieri. Sembra robusto e avendo comprato anche la prolunga si hanno tutte le opzioni. Venditore super disponibile e gentilissimo! Fossero tutti cosi… La GLS invece va solo arrabbiare! I loro corrieri incapaci e svogliati fanno di tutto per falla fallire, peggio di poste italiane e ce ne vuole eh…

Best of the many phone holders we bought

Works ok in the down position , but in the upright position it jiggles around a lot while driving. Not any better than the lower priced ones. Disappointing coming from WeatherTech.

Easy to move from one vehicle to another since the base is very adaptable.
