STANLEY TPL45S FatMax Portable Tripod Light

I Bought one of these in December of '14 from Sam's Club and loved it. It is very handy and really lit up my work space. I had a problem with one of the lights not keeping a charge. I had to take it back to exchange it. They were out of them but already did the refund so I couldnt even keep it to use it plugged in. I was rather bummed. Then my wife saw this on Amazon and got it for me as a gift and I was quite excited to get another one. I hoped that the new one would keep a charge. And it did. Twice. After that one of the lights stopped keeping a charge and would only function plugged in. I went to refund it, but since it took a few times to show its defectiveness, Im past my return date and cant get my money back. This product is really a good idea. The design is usefull and I really really wish that it worked right. Unfortunately Stanleys execution on this good idea sucks and really puts a bad tarnish on their image for me. If they ever fix the bad battery problems, this would be well worth $130, not $213. Until then seriously dont buy

Works good and really bright

Just to let everyone know. If you have some skills? You can take them apart and replace the battery's for a fix. Kind of a pain, but with a soldering iron and some time it can be done. I loved the lights so well that I have two sets and then they started going out. I've got one back to working and ordered battery's for the rest.

Batteries doubt last very long.

its got some good qualities, but for the money, aim not satisfied with the performance. lights do not last for the 10 hours. even if the charger is plugged in, the lights will shut off un-expectantly.

Like the other reviewer, I purchased this from Sam's club. My problem so far isn't with the light, but with Stanley. The Light isn't even made by them. They just let some other company put their name on it. I found this out the hard way when I tried to get a charger for the light. I bought mine as a floor model, and apparently they lost the charger. I figured no big deal, I will let Stanley know and get a new one from them. When I was chatting with the rep from their site, I gave them the model number. This is when she informed me it was made by a different company, and gave me their phone number. I stated, " So this isn't even made by Stanley", and she told me no. If anyone wants the number for the Real mfg, its 1-877-571-2391

I purchased this light from SAMs club and used it for about a month. In that time it worked great but one day it would not work. I returned it to stanley and a new one was sent out. I plugged it in and nothing, after playing with the charger the lights lit but as soon as I took my hand off the plug it died. I returned it and got a refund. I had to spend $35.00 to send it back to stanley. I was NOT about to give them 3 chances
