High Quality and Yes, the Gold Standard
Worked 4.0 outta the box. Quick program, and it worked very well. Charged my 52v Juiced battery quicker than the OEM charger. Feels well built. I really like the modular adapter plug that can be removed and replaced with a different male connector.

Fantastic multi-chemistry ebike and Light Electric Vehicle battery charger for up to 48v batteries!
This may be the best multi-chemistry charger for 12-48v battery packs up to a kwh capacity or so! It is hard to find a programmable charger under $500 that will charge the wide variety of chemistries, voltages up to nominal 52v, and up to 360W output. Grin Technologies even has a design to marry their hugely popular Cycle Analyst into a Semi Automated Battery Tester coupled with a basic Windows laptop or Tiny PC.This 48v version uses the same software and accessories as the other Satiator models, with a higher charge current, up to 8A, compared to 5A for the 72v Satiator. In addition, you would be hard pressed to find a more responsive company to the techie looking to really get the most out of your batteries whether they are for your drone, your electric bicycle, or some exotic electric vehicle. At least for batteries up to a kw-hour or so (48v at 20ah)Pros:+ comes with many preset profiles for different battery chemistries sizes and voltages+ many adapters are available for under $20 each, including one to a generic 15A PowerPole connector pair+ excellent support from the info line at Grin Technologies, especially if you are more technically inclined+ despite a tiny screen and small buttons, you can get an amazing amount of information on your charging cycle from the display!+ PC interface allows setting custom profiles and managing 5 active profiles among a bakers dozen of other profiles in memory+ the manual includes a great deal of supplemental information on how to setup the Satiator with different battery chemistries: Lithium, Lead Acid/Gel Cell, and NiMH/NiCd+ we could not find ANY other supported 48v multi-chemistry, programmable chargers for less than $500!+ a web simulator is maintained on the Grin Technologies web site where you can create custom battery profiles, then download them to the chargerCons:- one of the only downsides is that effective use of this charger requires actually reading the manual and spending time understanding the device!- the screen is tiny, the two control buttons small, still see above- the PC interface doesn't allow one to interface directly to capture stats after a battery testMy experiences with Grin Technologies have been exceptional, even as both of the Satiator's we acquired were from that Amazon competitor that rhymes with "D day".

Worth it
Bought this too fast charge my bike battery on trips. Along with a j1772 adapter I can stop and use car charging stations to recharge my bike when I go on long trips. I have used both and they work.

Great charger
The Satiator allows me to charge my battery at the rate and to the degree I choose. I expect this to save me money in the long run. I needed to purchase an adapter direct from Grin Tech, and unfortunately it did not work with one of the two battery models have. Tech support was very helpful in collecting voltage readings off various connector pins to troubleshoot the problem; I decided to defer when it became apparent that my Copenhagen Wheel uses unusual proprietary communications that made me feel over my head--I'll stick with their stock charger until I have more time to pursue. It works well with my Specialized battery, though it requires me to force start the profile (a very minor additional step). The device and computer app interfaces are rather basic, but powerful in the options they offer. From what I have seen and read, this is the best bike battery charger around.

It's fine by me but it really needs to come with more connectors
UPDATE:This should really come with more connectors. As it is out of the box, it works with my Juiced eBike fine, but I also have a Segway G30 eScooter and am not able to plug it in to that even though the device technically supports charging the eScooter at the voltage it needs. Why? Because I don't have a connector plug to do so. I contacted Grin Tech. and they were of no help and just told me I may have to cut my stock eScooter charger and wire up my own plug to the Cycle Satiator. Not going to happen. Grin Tech. shoudl just include a bunch of different connectors in the box. It would only add a few bucks to their cost and would be a lot more consumer friendly a product. This is a really great device and I don't even have a complaint about the high price given the engineering that went it to it and what it does, etc. I do think they should include additional cables at the price being charged however. I cannot even connect it to a computer and update the firmware without the added expensive of an additional cable purchase.I'm using this to 80% charge my Juiced Crosscurrent X 52V battery to 55.4V. If this charger is able to extend the life of my battery and it remains reliable, it will be worth it. It seems well built with great tech. inside.

Need to source the adapter cords....
Nice programable charger up to any ebike commercial battery. Do need to order an adapter to go from 3 pin to 2.1mm chager pluge that I have on my battery. Hard to find but available at ElectricScooterParts.com.Won't know how well this works till I receive this plug.Shipment was fast on this item.Had the screen go blank and would not startup again. This after the third use on a really new battery. Sent back & got a refund. Apparently the web search pointed to a capacitor issue that they use, cheap parts for a rather expensive charger. Went to using my IMax with a lowered top voltage setting to 80% fill, $85 compared to near $400, just watch for the garbage clones on the Imax out there...
