This little speaker delivers plenty...
Considering the size of this speaker it certainly alot more than the size would suggest which seems to be they way things are going lately. "Its not the size of the dog in the fight, it is the size of the fight in the dog" and these speakers reflect that understanding, they really pack a punch! Out of the box they sound pretty good but I would advise some EQ tuning if you want to get the best out of them. JBL simply are masters in the field of big and bold bass and these little plastic towers produce plenty of that here alongside quite cohesive mids, clear vocals and smooth highs, in fact these speakers have an overall warm and smooth sound which is very pleasant late at night when sound carries alot easier into yours and everyone's ears. For a 20 watt speaker there is plenty of power on offer here. I have not had the need to go higher than 50% volume post 11pm but to have another 10 watts on hand is a pleasing thought too. Over Bluetooth the sound has an acceptable standard in regards to soundstage and carries forward a satisfactory level of detail where Music is concerned. I haven't tested them wired yet due to lack of certain cables but knowing JBL I would say that wired these will probably sound a little better, a little more accurate. The lights are easy to manage and have a three stage brightness that never gets in your face, just a nice, here is that word again, warm look and feel, certainly not visually loud or distracting. A good weight to the speakers with nice grippy feet and stable on the desk. These speakers blend into my 1m wide desk very well and its great having the power they deliver sonically belying the space they occupy. As far as any auto shut down issues go that others have reported I have not encountered any at all. I use an Avantree DG80 Bluetooth receiver in the PC and after booting up the DG80 is ready and I simply press the Bluetooth button on the speaker and it connects in a couple of seconds and stays connected. I don't foresee any issues with the wired connection but if I do encounter then I will update this short review. The surround sound feature works over Bluetooth as well as wired, or at least it does using the Avantree DG80 whereas some have reported that the feature does not work over Bluetooth, mine does. The surround sound adds a wider playing field for the overall sound, it adds depth to the bass and is a notable improvement overall. I would advise that if you have to run a usb cable to your PC as I do then use a decent active usb cable especially for any cable run over 3m to be on the safe side and keep to a single purpose. People have used multiport hubs and seemed to have run into issues. I will try both the 3.5mm jack and USB when the cables arrive and run a 5m length onto the Creative Audigy FX2 soundcard with the 3.5mm jack. I am a little woozy at the thought and admittedly with a little excitement over this connection as that soundcard is very capable at producing good audio, we shall see but its looking and sounding very good so far with the Quantom Duo from JBL even with the Bluetooth which incidentally does not lag when watching You Tube! So far so good......update: Now aux cable has arrived and so plug straight into the Creative Audigy FX2 soundcard in the PC. Using the Creative software that accompanies the soundcard provide excellent acoustic adjustment. The sound quality improves and betters the Bluetooth which should be case regardless even today, cables are still always better than wireless. The sound is more balanced, punchy, accurate and more clean. The bass is not bloated and instrument separation is far better. I have yet to try USB connection but to be honest I am more than happy to stay with the 3.5mm Aux with the Quantum Duo. I used an £9.99 VIOY 6 meter shielded 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable bought on amazon to connect my PC to the speaker as the desk is on the opposite side of the room to the PC. There is no degradation in the signal from the PC to speaker at all. Buying shielded cable for long distance helps. So, great speaker, very nicely tuned. punchy powerful full sound especially considering the size. A good build quality with nothing loose or cheap feeling. Another win for JBL imo and the end user!

Absolutely love this product
I've set up a little corner for myself where I can browse the web and unwind after work when my partner and daughter are asleep. I wanted speakers with good sound quality but not too much bass since I'll mainly be browsing the web in the evenings. These speakers have amazing sound quality if you don't need very deep bass and prefer a lower sound with a surround effect. After using these speakers for a few hours, I realized that I made the right decision in buying them. The RGB lights are also a great feature as they light up the room in the dark evenings. If someone is looking for speakers for similar needs, I highly recommend these.

JBL Quantum Duo gaming speakers
Really great desktop speakers for the PC and they're perfect for games. The sound quality is awesome and the bass is spot on. For the price, they are absolutely awesome and far, far better than I expected them to be.

Some issues when using a wired connection
As expected with JBL the sound quality is awesome on these little 2.0 speakers and the 3d sound is well done for a 2.0 system.I found I have issues when I connect the speakers via USB or 3.5mm jack. At first they'd auto power off when in use. I updated the drivers and firmware and this seemed to fix the issue. Then I noticed when turned up they seemed quiet when at max volume. If I kept turning the volume up on the speakers they'd go louder but then jump back to a lower level whilst showing to be at max volume on my system ( this happened on 2 different desktops running windows 10).If I connect using Bluetooth they crank up to the max!Whilst the overall build quality is very good, I found there support to be lacking in knowledge and at a premium price I'd expect better out of the box support.

Pretty good for the price, good sound range
Great colour combinations, easy to use, great sound for such a small speaker. I had a similar issue with them cutting out (turning off) every 5 mins. Was down to being plugged into motherboard usb rather than graphics card!!! Now works fine. Great sound for such small speakers and a good range of sound. Perfect for gaming in a home office

Great quality, small size.
Excellent quality sound for fairly small speakers, solid bass, good range. Lovely lighting effects. Pictured: connected to a MacBook Pro via headphone cable. (Dinosaur for scale).

Sound Quality is awesome, but firmware still has much room to improve
So far this may be the best gaming speaker I ever experienced. But the firmware just poor, especially switching between browser and gaming. When I tune the the volume, it suddenly jump to 100 and scare me off.I can only lower the volume after it stuck for few minutes.Second is that it may have a small chance to turns off after 10-15 minutes. The only solution is unplug the USB and Power connection and plug it back. But this is annoying because you don't when it will happen again.
