Works as it is supposed to
Works perfectly. Too bad my pond dried up! Works as it's supposed to. I do need to add a solar charger for it.

Smaller but dependable feeder.
This involves a little bit of set up even though it is a smaller unit, but it was manageable. The deer soon figured out the schedule and they arrive a little early because they know the feeder does not disappoint!

Works great IF….
I have 2 of these and use them for fish feeders. Work great IF you seal the spinning mechanism with clear silicone or install a small rubber gasket. If you fail to seal the lower unit, you will be cleaning it out every time it rains. I purchased the moultrie 6v battery and it will last all summer. Would give it 5 stars if the put a gasket on it!!

The feed ddistribution unit on the bottom of the barrel leaks every time it rains.
The barrel can't be filled up or the feeder can't take the weight and won't throw the feed. The barrel where the feed is held does not leak, but when it rains water runs down the outsides and right into the feed distribution unit on the bottom. On mine, the motor shorts out the battery and the unit stops working until it is disassembled and dried out. The feed also clogs up the chute and needs to be scraped out. Also it is very important to use at least a 5 amp battery. Otherwise the spinner doesn't throw the feed very far. (or at all) Since I use feeders on a remote property, it's very inconvenient to have to drive all the way out there every time it rains to correct the issues. I find overall most 6 volt feeders are not worth the cost. They just aren't dependable enough to use unless you want to visit them almost every day to make sure that they are still working. I've started converting over to 12 volt feeders and have yet to be disappointed.

Updated Review.
Corn should be fine, fish feed is okay to use but not great. If it begins to jam you will need to clean the area on top of the spinner and put it back together. Mine clumped up even running every day. Can be annoying, but clean it out every so often and it’s cheaper than other fish feeders for sure.

Not recommended as fish feeder
I purchased this unit to be used as a fish feeder off my dock. Filled w/25 lbs of fish feed I purchased from Tractor Supply. Tested feeder and it worked properly. Next morning went down to dock to check since it had rained that night. Tested feeder and would not spin. Emptied feeder and it had leaked and feed had gummed up in funnel. Cleaned and tested ..... everything OK. Rained again that night, went down to check / test and would not spin. Same routine, but this time no leaks inside after I emptied feeder ...everything was dry.... just would not spin. Reassembled, tested, only filled to 25% of capacity and everything OK. Next day same routine..... tested would not work. No rain so I’m sure it was not gummed up. I’ve finally concluded that fish feed is too dense to be used in the feeder. I will take it down and use on my farm with corn as a deer feeder. I have several Moultrie feeders and I’m pleased with them. So I don’t think there is an issue with the feeder per se, just the type of feed used. It’s simply not designed to dispense fish feed. I’ve ordered a Texas Hunter fish feeder which has a stronger (12 volt) motor and specifically designed for feeding fish.
