I ordered this last year before his latest album "traces" came out (even though I have it also), it is the classic voice of Steve Perry. I still find myself just starting to sing one of these songs out loud out of the blue. This one will not disappoint you if you like Steve's other solo albums.

Steve Perry has a vocal reach alot of singers can not reach. Perfect if your a Steve Perry fan this CD does not disappoint ! Variety of his songs all great !

What can one really say: It is Steve Perry, one of the best male voices of all time. He MADE Journey, made good solo albums, and his voice is one of those that is unique and even non fans, can pick out who "the Voice is". Personally, Journey "screwed" him.... But the got a singer who sounds JUST LIKE STEVE!!!!!! I mean no disrespect to Neil, one of the best guitarist in Rock, and the rest of the band, but Perry s vocals made the band stand out, and allowed them to live on. Steve Perrys' vocals made Journey stand out from the mass of bands at the time, and showed that great vocals along with great song writing, and most importantly, taking a good song, and making it a GREAT song. (Kudos to those who wrote many of their hits, songs that will be listened to 20 years from now.)I like ALL of Steves songs, I like ALL songs from those I consider great vocalists. Barbra, Whittney, Dolly, Maria, etc..... A good vocalist, which is different from a "singer", IMHO, will take a average song and elevate it.Thanks..............RC

I don't know where my old CD of SP went to so I purchased another. Oh, I hear that voice and I melt inside. These are Steve Perry songs, not Journey. I still listen to him sing over and over again and it lightens my mood.

What can I say about the great Steve Perry he is and always will be the one and only "The Voice" #1 Steve is unreplacable he sings from the depts of his soul and he makes you feel the emotion that goes along with every song he has ever sang, I love this man he is the greatest and should be in the rock and roll hall of fame because their will never be another Steve Perry like I said he is unreplacable and so is his voice, his greatest hits has some of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and anyone who buys it will not be disapointed especially if your a Steve Perry fan..

Very disappointed with the case the CD arrive in. When I received the CD, the case where the CD sits was shattered. Disappointed because the case was paperback except where the CD sits, was expecting a hard case like other CD’s...There’s nothing to protect the CD...The music is awesome

I love Steve Perry. He has one of the greatest voices ever. You can really hear his beautiful range on this album. He rocks out on some songs and on others he sings beautifully that is so surprising. Some great songs on this album.

This is a must for all Steve Perry fans!Even though his voice lost some of its higher end range by 1983 he can still sing better than most!A good mixture of songs and its worth buying just for the tracks "if you need me,call me"-the demo track from his 1st band that got him noticed by Journey and "don't fight it"with Kenny Loggins.Its the only cd that i could find with these 2 tracks.The booklet that comes with the cd has great personal comments and the photo's-very nice Steve,very nice!His songs are timeless and so is his iconic voice.Put it this way-i'd make sure i was holding this cd if my house was burning down!

The voice of this man is so brilliant .love the cd. Play it all the time.
