Donner Concert Ukulele Mahogany DUC-1 23 inch with Ukulele Set Strap Nylon String Tuner

Purchased a year ago prior to having knee replacement surgery thinking I’d have time on my hands, boy was I wrong! Have learned a few chords and that I need to take lessons 🤣 Enough on my personal problems, the ukulele itself is a great learners instrument, well made, sounds good and is a great value for your money!

Happy with purchase. Good tone. Has lots of extras like tuner and travel case that I would have had to purchase so nice that they are included. Spare strings a nice bonus. Will be good to learn with.

This is a very nice ukulele. Handsome traditional style, nice sounding and no quality control issues at all. Better quality gig bag and distinctive. Working tuner. My only complaint is the quality of the strap but that does not affect my liking of the uke. I have several ukes and they all have good and bad points. This one is probably one of the best for what it offers. No uke is any good if it sounds bad. This one has a nice tone with the provided strings and it is worth experimenting with warmer or brighter strings if you want to. I knew Donner had a good reputation for value and quality control and this one encourages me to purchase another model. One thing to note. It has a wider neck nut at 38mm and 30mm string spacing. This makes it easier to play if you have normal to larger hands. I have a higher end uke with a 34mm nut, the more traditional width, and it is not as comfortable to play. It is hard to find models with this wider nut so keep that in mind when deciding on a purchase. Recommended.

I am loving this ukulele. I’m a beginner so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. At the same time I wanted a ukulele that had a reasonable level of quality. This ukulele is the right balance for me. It has a nice sound. After 1 week of tuning it several times a day it is holding its tune for several hours. I appreciate the clip on tuner for times when I’m not at home with my piano. The case is of good quality and looks very nice. There are buttons for the strap to attach to so there is no need to attach a strap each time you use it. Just one thing - the picks are plastic and I’m told that they should be felt. All in all I am very happy with it. I think it’s a good ukulele for a beginner.
