Entrepreneurial Finance: The Art and Science of Growing Ventures

While it's designed as a textbook, the conversational style of the book makes it remarkably enjoyable to read given the weight of the topic. Several chapters in I'm finding it informative and thorough, excellent for someone with some general business background but little accounting or financial experience (although judging by the chapter descriptions the latter part of the book offers plenty for those more experienced readers as well). As the authors point out in the introduction, there aren't really any other books that approach the topic of entrepreneurial finace holistically as a distinct topic, at least not from a global (as opposed to US-centric) view. In my opinion this is a great read and reference for anyone interested in how startups work on a financial level, whether as a founder, investor, startup employee, or interested party. A great window into a neglected but vital element of the tech company lifecycle.

It is a great textbook and also a worthwhile read. Having little to no entrepreneurial finance background, this book guided me through various concepts that are important to the entrepreneurs finding ways to finance their business. Luisa is a super star professor!

This book is a great read! It comprehensively describes everything you need to know about new venture development in an understandable fashion, while shedding an academic light on the European market in particular. Various funding sources, processes, and typical documents are covered in depth, giving the reader a complete overview of entrepreneurial finance. I definitely recommend this book to aspiring entrepreneurs or whomever interested in business finance!
