That said, one part of this set isn't up to the rest to my mind, and that's the hose supplying the handheld showerhead which is made of a flexible and highly chromed plastic. I would prefer a metal exterior with rubber hose interior, but time will tell whether the plastic is actually inferior to metal. This is probably not a self-install set. Best to get a plumber unless you are very comfortable handling sweating copper or installing Pex. It is not a retrofit set. you need to install this at the outset of installing a whole new shower. Finally, a word about value. The cost of this set has fluctuated on desertcart. Right now it's at $1551.93, earlier it was at about $1200. To the best of my ability to reconcile part numbers, you can buy the individual pieces of this set for a combined total of $1300 right now on desertcart. I'm not sure it's worth purchasing as a set at the current price. But Home Depot is considerably more expensive. Buying the parts separately on Home depot--again, to the best of my ability to match pieces across HD and desertcart--would cost about $1575 right now. Review: Ahhhhhh..... - If it weren't such a waste of water, I would spend at least 30 minutes in the shower each day. This shower system will make you wish you could do the same. It's the ultimate in Hansgrohe bath fixtures. It has three showerhead settings that go from a soft rain to a firm massage. There's also the very necessary auto temperature control. This shower system looks and feels like something that would be in a 5 star hotel and we love that we have it in our master bathroom now.
