Lightweight, solid build and stays sharp almost forever.
This is a wonderful knife if you hate sharpening knives. The ceramic blade stays sharp for a very long time. I'm only on my second knife because I idiotically tried to sharpen my first one myself and mucked it up. Beware that ceramic blades are pretty delicate versus a steel blade so you can only use this knife for light duty cutting. Don't use it to pry anything, especially with the tip or you'll chip it. Cutting things like wire and cable ties can also chip the blade. Otherwise this is my EDC and I love it. So light that you won't even know it's in your pocket until you need it.

Frail knife with AWFUL customer service
I really liked the knife, but it fell a foot or so onto tile and all the screws came out of the handle. Sure, the ceramic blade isn't as tough as a traditional blade, but mine wasn't even open! It just fell off my coffee table and burst into pieces! Pretty unacceptable. Then I contacted customer service...they were EXTREMELY short and never actually did anything to help.I will never buy anything Boker makes ever again.

Great alternative to Benchmade Bugout
Extremely light weight and razor sharp out of the box. Clip and other materials are high quality. Very similar to the Benchmade Bugout but roughly half of the price. Thin dimensions allows it to be a great EDC knife or something you could carry in a suit or dress pants. Knife of the left is the Böker and on the right is the Benchmade.

Awesome beautiful fragile blade
When I opened the package for the first time, I noticed that the handle of the knife was dirty, as if it had been previously handled and not cleaned afterwards. It also appeared as if the left-handed thumb stud was gouged on its rounded top... but on closer examination it seems that what appeared to be a gouge was actually adhesive, an excess amount, the kind used to adhere the 'beauty cap' of the thumb stud. I cleaned it off with a steel pick, polished the cap, no imperfections. So, I cleaned the knife, dried it, oiled the hinge, and it turns out that there's one nearly microscopic, but visible, speck, gouge, hole, in the ceramic blade itself, on the left-hand side of the blade, about 1/4" up towards the handle from the tip, on the mirror-like polished surface. A speck that can't be cleaned, or moved, or filled. ..Ah well... One nearly microscopic imperfection in a ceramic blade, I can live with. The blade is absolutely razor sharp, as sharp as the new 5.25" Kyocera Santoku, tested together as a reference for each other. The only question I really have left is, what material are all the fasteners and the clip made from. They're all magnetic, as you can see in the video I shot... https://youtu.be/eY5rXyjQfnM & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eDs5XXP8ps

THIS KNIFE IS JUST TOO NICE TO OWN. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!
I've had it for 3 months. I carry it in my pocket. I really like it. It is light weight. The ceramic blade is extremely sharp. The only problem is the blade is also extremely brittle!! Case in point. Last week I was getting ready to go drive my car. I reached into my pocket to get the keys and forgot the knife was in my pocket. It came out with the keys and fell onto the sidewalk. Even though the blade was closed in it's protective case, the shock of hitting the sidewalk broke the blade one inch from the tip. But that is only half of the story. I called Boker Customer Service on Thursday. No one was live to speak to. I had to leave a message. It's now Monday. I get a call back. The rep advised me that the blade breaking is not covered by warranty. The rep advised me that the reason is the blade is extremely brittle. Even cutting meat off the bone can break the blade. The good news is they can ship me a new blade for $15 plus S&H. The did order it, But now the question is, what am I going to do with it? I guess it will be the first knife that I collect to keep but not use. One last thing. I registered this knife into Boker's online Warranty registration. When the rep asked me for all the particulars to ship the replacement blade, she advised me that Customer Service does not have access to the Warrant Registration system to get my address info. DAHHHH!!!!!

I honestly wanted to love it
I like boker knives and have only seen quality stuff from them. This knife isn't necessarily "not quality" and I am aware of the limitations of ceramic knives. However this knife breaks incredibly easily. It is very very sharp which is great but I was afraid to use it on anything more than opening letters. When I did attempt to use it on something slightly more substantial it broke immediately. I think the lesson here is really don't expect a ceramic knife to be an everyday carry knife or a good bug out bag knife. I think it's a very nice knife but I have no use for a decoration/letter opener

Knife keeps edge. Looks sharp (all ways).
Knife holding up nicely. (Two-months wear.) Carry in phone pocket of Dickies. No problem with loss as yet. Dropped once -- no shattered blade as others suggest would happen. Edge is as keen as new. Never was good at sharpening metal-blade knives. Often worn-down blades to silliness. Folding box-cutter knives don't work for restaurant steak/porkchops, nor as letter openers. Dull knives don't work for cutting rope. Tempted a few times to pry. Beauty of knife is enough to remind: Do No Harm.

A handsome pocket 3” surgical scalpel.
Bought it for my mum. Every drugstore pill cutter shes had has either smushed it into powder or cut into uneven pieces. I experienced first hand how sharp ceramic is. She gets perfect halves every time.Pros: Light as a feather and classy piece. Still razor sharp after 6 months.Cons: ceramic blade can only be used for a specific set of tasks. If you want the ability to hack, pry, or thrust(stab) without breaking the blade this knife is not for you. But if you want some precision work done this beautiful knife is amazing for that.
