ICOOL Tubing Bender Kit Hand Tool 1/4 to 7/8 Inch

At first I was leary of this bender but after bending both ³/⁸ and ⁷/⁸ acr copper I was impressed. It did a good job for being an inexpensive tool.

Definitely not a high quality tool but I knew that going into it. It got the job done and worked ok. That is all that was important.

I have an old Husky 60 gal air compressor that was a single stage pump & a 2hp motor, rebuilt it to a 2 stage pump, and now with a 5hp motor, used 1/2" ID / 5/8" OD type L soft copper tubing and used the spring type hand benders, don't get me wrong they work, just not a tight enough bend that I want. So did a lot of research here on Amazon and found this cool little gem " pipe bender". Bought it and got this on Thursday night, so now Saturday doing all my pipe bending and damn thus is wonderful. In my final thoughts I used so grease from my grease gun on the copper pipe and it didn't kink at all. So Yes anyone who is bending soft copper or aluminum pipe Yes I would recommend this. It is made well and it will last if you take care of it.!!!!!!😎

I know some plumbers might be used to the Makita battery operated version however, this pump makes it easy to pinch the couplings. You can also have a feel of how much you pressure you’re putting on the actual attachment. It’s cheap compared to the Makita

This is a clone of other brands that work pretty well for a ratcheting style bender unfortunately, it is not a clone in quality of bends dealing with smaller size like 3/8" there is no issues but when bending 3/4" further than 45 degrees the back side of the pipe goes flat and a little concaved and the inside kinks. Making a tube useless. This happens time and time again. There is nothing like throwing away a $250 Copper pipe 1' foot at a time. I wasn't doing many split ac systems when I bought this so I hoped a cheaper option would work for me. It has cost me far more in wasted time and materials than it saved me. Just so you know its not my technique. An hvac tech of 20 years used it and it kinks tube all the same. While his bender makes perfect bends on all sizes, his bender is a yellow jacket brand.

Cutters are trash one of the pieces had a missing screw cause the hole was too big and nothing fits in the case right but the bender works great
