I wanted to use it for karaoke with my friends, but when i try to plug into my sony sound bar, it didn't work! can you tell me what i am doing wrong??

Check the model of your soundbar, not many have a "MIC" jack, but rather a "HEADPHONE" jack ONLY! Many Home Theatre Receivers dont even have a MIC jack anymore! They have inputs to add a koroake machines' output into it though! I'd Recommend using a simple PC or Laptop MIC input maybe, and then utilize the Laptops 3.5mm outputs into your current soundbars Stereo RCA Jack ( this will require a simple/cheap "Stereo 3.5mm to Stereo RCA" converter -NOT MONO), if no koroake machine is actually present! This is an Analog style MIC, not Digital, so it does not pass through on my HDMI Digital Input, only my RCA Connected 7.1 Input on my receiever from my PC!It works for my PC system great! Also does good hooked up to my AMP!
