I love this company
I’m not one to leave reviews but I know they are a small farm and I really want to support this company. I had a baby 9 months ago and he just stopped breastfeeding at about 4 months. I continued to pump until he was 6 month but it became very difficult since I don’t have any family in my area and my husband works full time. Pumping was impossible because he needed a lot of attention and I had to pump every 2 hours. Because of my profession, I’m very familiar with nutrition and what my son needs to thrive. I’m very hesitant about premade formulas because they didn’t taste right, they don’t taste like milk. I decided to make my own formula. I use this lactose powder to add to the goat milk powder. I’ve bought both from this company and it taste sooo good. My son absolutely loves it and has thrived beautifully from it. I recommend moms to make their own formula because you actually know what’s in it. They also sell a formula kit on their website. My formula is slightly different but super similar. I highly recommend it to moms trying to feed their infants the highest and best quality if they can’t breast feed.

Great, mild sweetener for green tea
So I originally purchased all the ingredients from Mount Capra to make supplemental soy free and dairy free formula for my baby when my supply dropped. I had some leftover goats milk lactose and I discovered it makes a nice addition to my morning hot matcha green tea powder beverage.

My son loves it!
Part of his new goat's milk formula recipe, this lactose was recommended specifically by our son's Pediatrician (she also practices homeopathy)- he loves the taste of the new formula and it's worth every penny. More importantly on switching to goat milk and goat lactose and adding the other ingredients he was prescribed my son's skin is clearing up and less dry/ irritated. Product arrived quickly and in perfect condition- I just made a second order.

3 Stars For Excellent taste and texture disolves and mixes well in cold or warm water. Not 5 Stars because Problem is its not as sweet. Lactose is suppose to add sweetness to the regular whole goat powder when mixed but it really just blends in with the regular goat milk taste. Will need to add more than 1/4 tsp to every 4 ounces of milk for it to sweeten the milk a bit. But other than that Product is great in Taste and is not Gritty when mixed.

Great for homemade baby formula
We use this for making our baby formula. It’s amazing since we have to use goats milk due to allergies. This makes the formula much better tasting!

WT… crap is this?
If you are looking for a coffee creamer and run into this product you might be misled like I was. This is a non returnable item, so I was busted. I put it on my coffee today… this thing is not a creamer and it’s not a sweetener either. It may work as a probiotic, if what the label says is true. I was so frustrated trying to find a natural creamer for my coffee that I got caught. Some way, the name of the product is misleading. They should say: "Lactose Powder from goat milk", or something like that, brcause this is what it is: LACTOSE. Anyways, I’ll take it as a probiotic.

This stuff works great, i add a half tsp to my 6mo babies formula since he isnt a great eater, and he seems to enjoy it and drinks more when added. Noticing less spit-up too which is amazing since he would puke after almost every feed. Highly recommend. Container came with outside label seal broken which worried me at first, but was still sealed under the lid thankfully.

I purchase the Capra Lactose on Amazon through Lucky Vitamin because the shipping is much cheaper than buying directly from the farm itself (farm uses DHL and I'd get dinged $54 shipping each time) and I don't have to pay the duty ($25) on top of my order like I do with the farm. Plus no need to think about conversion rate for the CAD. Lucky Vitamin's shipping is fast and I prefer getting the product in these convenient to use tubs vs the large ziplock style sacs that the farm uses. I have bought a lot of lactose since I make a home made goat's milk formula for my baby. It's really great stuff. Quick dissolve and the emulsion it produces in the final formula is really smooth. Excellent product from an excellent reseller!

Overpriced, Amazon is 50+$, was 17$ on their actual website. Didnt know and fell for it! As for the product, just used it as an addition to their goat milk
