Great bible really for the price, easy to read, not a lot of clutter, more direct read. Also has a nice firmness to it, some bibles are like bars of soap but this one with sharper thinner edges holds nice when reading!

Words are not to small very good

The HCSB is my second favourite translation [only because its based on the Critical Text and thus has verses shortened and in some cases missing]. My favourite is the World English Bible. The HCSB is very fluid, it follows optimal equivalence, which is an attempt to get both the meaning and the literalness into each verse. Sort of mid-way between dynamic and formal equivalence. I own lots of different translations. and this sort of sits with the ESV for me. The book itself suffers from printing too close to the middle binding. But at this price you cant grumble. I think that giving the book time to adjust will make it easier to lay flat. A bible is meant to be read!! This is thicker than most other Gift and Awards, its twice as thick as the ESV and probably 2 and 1/2 times thicker than the NASB. Its much better than the NIV, a little better than the ESV. Its insanely easy to understand. Had it been based on the Majority Texts this would be my number one version. I so wish they had stuck with it being MT! It would have really stuck out from the crowd.

Definitely recommend haven't had it for long, But for the time I have good quality. Better then last one I had the page was not great on that one but this is definitely worth the money so far.

I gave this as a gift for my son and he loves it because the Holy Bible is like a two edged sword. It's the best gift you can give to a family member or loved one for protection.
