I bought this for my 8yr old son who began this series at the Primer level. The Theory book compliments what is learnt in the Lessons. The Theory book reinforces the ability to read the music and understand the mechanics behind them. Some exercises do seem rather simple but overall I'd say it does a good job.

I saved a lot of money but the book online and look forward to buying the next ones too. Thanks
