Detour: A Creekwood Novel (Creekwood Series Book 1)

I just reread Detour as it is such a good story. The characters are well developed and the story line is original. Soooo good!

-found family-motorcycleThis book was really good. It kept me interested and made me feel for the main character, Angela. She's trying to make a better life for herself and escape the abuse from her mom. But things don't get better until she moves across from three hot neighbors. They understand her pain because they've been through similar things. Coty is especially attracted to her and wants to protect her, but she's scared to let people in or ask for help.You really feel for Angela and all the obstacles she has to overcome. She just can't seem to catch a break. But she keeps pushing forward and fighting back against the negative parts of life. I like that the guys let her find herself while still helping and protecting her.

This book was good. I liked the beginning. I wish she got to actually see her in school not just it mentioned it took me out of the book. It felt kind of lazy like there could have been at least a scene or two of her actually going through the day. The couple was cute. I like how in the end everything did work out and they are happy. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the next book plug of course but it wasn’t super bad like other books where it completely takes over the epilogue. The book overall was average. It was good but not great. It just missed an oomph for me but I still enjoyed it. I will eventually read the others and see if maybe they are more my style. Overall pretty good. 3/5

This is definitely one of those books that makes you feel. This storyline is one that is so realistic it sucks you in. Like you are reading someone's actual love story. Definitely worth the read.

This book has been a blast. I've really loved the "soundtrack" and the characters! They each have their own voice. I can relate to both Angela and Coty, but man I can't wait for the next book! I'm starting it now. :)I'd give it a 3/5 on the spicy scale, just enough to make you want more, but pretty tame in a good way. 😉

This book is the perfect amount. Plenty of spice without being too smutty. Reading, it feels like it'll be a slow burn, but there's enough sass and different personalities to keep things exciting. As soon as I finished, I bought the next book in the series!

This book was just what i needed. Charters are put together nicely. So glad the past doesn't drag her down. Very strong girl who overcomes a horrible life to find a family she needed.

This story contains all what a good book need: heartbreaking story, lovely characters, fun, love, steamy scenes and a good ending. I really enjoyed reading it

3.5 stars I might be in the minority with my rating I just felt like something was missing I felt at times it was a little rushed. But having said that it was an enjoyable read, it gave me major vibes of another book I read. I liked Coty enough but Beck stole it for me, I loved his energy which you just know he hides deep seated pain from his family issues, Marc is a mystery, he's broody and never gives anything away and just where does he keep disappearing to and what's he doing???
