50 Pounds?!
I’m a seems to be build sturdy enough. It’s WAY smaller than I expected. There is NO WAY this thing hold 50 pounds of chicken food. I mean no freaking way. I guess it’s weather proof if it’s inside. I’d send it back, but I already threw the box away. Totally disappointed.

Metal Corrosion
Don't waste your money. The metal corrodes and the food spoils and gets stuck in the feeder. It doesn't work at all like the picture. I purchased 4 of these. 2 of the 50# and 2 of the 25# and I am very upset and got ripped off. The galvanized metal corroded and now they are worthless.

I really like it
The feeder is sturdy and holds a lot. Very little gets wasted on the ground.

So good so far
My chickens would make a huge mess with their old feeder. So far this is a good solution.I went with the 5lb model for my three birds.Far less waste than before. Keeps feed dry and mold free. Works for crumbles as well as pellets.Mounting holes on back for mounting. The hood is optional. I keep mine inside the coop so I didn’t install it. My Polish chicken (big feathered head/crest) seems to avoid the feeder until I removed the hood.I was originally going to try to make a PCV feeder but after looking at the cost of parts and solvent/glue this was fine, cheaper, and designed for the job.

Poor design and quality
Another cheaply made piece of junk. The chicken feed is soaked after a rain shower. The hood covering the food tray should be attached permanently instead of being screwed on by the purchaser. The rain ran down into the food because there is no seal between the hood and container. For $50.00, one would think the workmanship would be somewhat reliable.

Poor design & shipping damage
Very disappointed in design. The hood is lower than it looks in the picture. It is lower than the chickens & they will not go under it to eat. Also, there was no protection in the shipping box & it arrived damaged. The two front legs were smashed during shipping & I could barely attach the hood to them. I would have returned it immediately if I had not been Ill when it arrived.

Can't use rain cover when feeding ducks
This is a well made product and does what it says, and it looks pretty weatherproof for chickens. The mounting holes in the back look like they might allow water to get in when the feeder is hung from chicken wire, but would be fine inside a wooden coop. For duck owners however, installing the rain cover makes the opening too small for Pekins and other large ducks to use because they can't get their head and bill in far enough. Otherwise, the product works for ducks if not used with the rain cover. The ducks figured it out very quickly, so on the whole I'm happy with it.
