Orange Mod Works Double Dealer, Recon, Alpha Trooper, Longstrike, Raider, & Deploy Upgrade Spring (5+ Kg)

My son had a Double Dealer Nerf gun that wasn't working quite right. This spring was just the thing to fix the problem and add more power. The spring is slightly larger than the original, but it worked perfectly. I am very happy with this purchase.

This is my 1st OMW purchase.I don't need to use measuring tools to tell my Longstrike now fires at Elite levels.Originally I had modified my Longstrike's stock spring tension by adding tape to the base of the outside of the plunger tube. For some reason that mod did very little,even though it worked very well on my Old Recon.The 5kg Spring from OMW works great though.It's given me the exact performance increase I expected. I'm removing 1 star in my review based on the price.while I'm obviously pleased with the product ,the price of a compression spring at a hardware store is at the most $2.00. The convenience that OMW provides is great. Knowing that I bought just the spring to fit the blaster I was looking for was a very convenient thing,and I would buy their upgrade springs again for sure,but they still lose a star,because there's no way the spring should really cost $11.Packaging was good,prime shipping delivered,and the install was super easy.(I've taken apart quite a few blasters in the last few weeks). One thing about this spring in a Longstrike to mention is that even though it boosted it's firing range quite a bit,when I added a barrel extension(modulus sniper) performance dipped. This has nothing really to do with the spring,but it's worth mentioning that the Longstrike modded with just a 5kg spring while much better, is still limited. If you really want a beast Longstrike you'll have to get the immortal kit for that kind of boost. Or make those mods yourself(Good Luck). Spring is good but doesn’t fit in an Alpha trooper. That needs to be taken out of the description

Up to 80 FPS from 45 with the stock spring (Chronobarrel readings, removed air restrictor). Darts fly further and hit harder. Great for a simple drop in mod that doesn't require any other parts. Not quite elite performance but so much better than stock. I recommend this for those who do not want to shell out for an expensive internal replacement kit. Very simple to install for first time modders as well.

The spring is not even the same size as the stock spring. Terrible purchase don't buy

Spring is so strong that it makes charging the Longstrike all but practically impossible. I am an adult male, and I either need to charge the rifle with a hard quick pull back, or slowly with two hands otherwise using just one charging knob on the Longstrike is not possible. I would not purchase this again.

Great product as of day 1 but seeing as its just a spring I think its safe to say this is a solid product. The 5kg spring is perfect for my son's Long Strike. He is 7 years old and pretty small for his age but is still able to use the gun with the new spring without help and the difference from before the mod and after is night and day. I bought a higher kg spring for the Retaliator and he wasn't able to use it so this just right and the shipping was extremely fast.

after destroying the first recon, I was lucky to find my second recon *one montage of disassemble, reassemble and frustration* (also if you are gonna mod the recon cs6 please please put a layer of PADDING or foam, preferably the thickness of a nickel, it will save your plunger tibe from exploding) after test firing with the new spring, I am amazed, its increased the range pretty damn good, wouldbuyagainnoregerts.png
