are both prongs teh same size ?

Either the seller doesn't understand the question, doesn't know their product, or the product has changed. I took a chance buying these with the HOPE that the prongs were NOT polarized (i.e. one prong is wider than the other), based on some people's reviews. I just received my order today (12/29/21) and they are NOT polarized. Both prongs are the SAME size!!

I properly installed mine (screwing it in), but my surge protector (it's an old 2015 model) is telling me that it isn't Grounded. Is this normal?

It could be your outlet isn't grounded properly just because it has a screw you can screw into doesn't mean that it's grounded, you can get one of these gizmos confirm the outlet itself is grounded: "Bastex Socket Tester with GFCI check. Good for a 8000 btu air conditioner at 115v?

It should be fine. The description of this item says it's good up to 125v. Basically all it does is enable you to change a three prong plug into a 2 prong plug.
