RV Refrigerator Vent Cover, Base and Cap, Polar White

The original fridge rooftop vent cover cracked on my 2018 Avenger. This is the perfect replacement part. This is a two piece part, I only needed the cover since the base was still intact. Removal of the cover was simple, just 4 Phillips head screws. Only issue is they DON'T include new hardware so you have to reuse the 4 screws. My screws were stuck in the cover because of all the Caulk the factory used. I had to crack the plastic around them to get them out. That took the longest amount of time. Otherwise it's a 10 minute job. I'll throw the base in the shed in case I need it down the road.

Direct fitment to replace an old, worn out vent. Removing the old self leveling sealant was time consuming but not difficult using a narrow putty knife, mineral spirits and paper towels. Once cleaned the vent roof base was a direct replacement, easily screwed to the roof, covering the existing vent hole. Do yourself a favor and take your electric screwdriver or drill with the correct size socket to deal with the 14 or so screws. After securing the base and liberally applying self leveling sealant to the seams and screw heads, I let the base sealant dry over night. I attached the cap the next day remembering to leave a little sealant for the 4 screw that secure the cap to the base. Pleased with the look and ease of installation.

Replacing a damaged cover assembly on my wife's 2013 Big Foot cab over camper. This was the only replacement I could find. It is wider than the original, but not enough to be a problem. The grille was a bit distorted as noted in other reviews, but the plastic was ok and the distortion will not cause a problem. There were no screws for the cover, so I purchased stainless steel #8 x 1 1/2" screws from the hardware store. I'd recommend carefully threading them before installing the vent, so they will be easier to install on the roof. Only the corner screw holes in the new vent matched the original holes, so I filled the old holes with epoxy and drilled new ones. I used stainless steel #10 x 1" truss head screws to install the vent on the fiberglass roof of the camper. Sealed with 2" strips of Eternabond Tape.

Looks great right size.. but no screws?

Was a bit off size but covered hole just fine. Easy to replace. All of my roof plastics were shot. The old one broke and blew off in a high wind storm. Roof plastics and there are a lot of them on RV’s deteriorated over the years and had to replace all of them. Two skylights 2 crank up vents and refrigerator vent. Best not to wait until they rot crack and blow away. I lost most all of mine this year in one fell swoop due to storms

Good quality perfect replacement for my dometic roof refer vent assembly, only reason I replaced the old one was I added a refer roof van on my RV.

I certainly didn't expect the butyl tape, self-leveling sealant, nor the mounting screws required for this installation, but mine also came with no cover screws. I find this extremely cheap on the part of Dometic. Not even a mention of the size required. Good thing I purchased a pack of stainless #8 x 1.5" sheet metal screws at the hardware store - I had enough to fasten the base to the roof and the cover to the base. Quality was way off as if someone didn't care at the molding shop; the screen is all wavy (not properly set into the molding machine) as is the majority of the base. At least the cover is relatively straight.

Arrived on schedule and fit perfectly on the Dometic fridge exhaust of my 2016 RV. As others have said, doesn't come with four new screws (just keep your old ones). It comes with the grill for which your need tape and self leveling silicone to install. My grill was still fine so my shroud installation was a straightforward 5 minutes.

Les vis de la partie supérieure n’était pas au mêmes endroits alors j’ai dû installer la partie du bas aussi. Prévoir joint d’étanchéité entre partie du bas et la roulotte Car ne vient pas avec. Prévoir aussi scellant auto nivelant pour roulotte afin de terminer la job.

fit the RV real good...very happy with product even though there were NO screws included....shipping was 3 days later then was told but ...it did show up !!
