Works As It Should
These work just as advertised. I bought a 2018 Jeep Cherokee and it had the 5" stereo in it. Decided to upgrade it to a newer 7" stereo, and the one I bought only had one USB port on the back (Pioneer AVH-2330NEX). My Jeep has a hub in the front, and another USB jack in the center console. I used this to get one fully functional port in the hub, and one charge only in the center console. Works great! From all the bad reviews, I bought two so that I would have a spare if one didn't work. I guess all the negative reviews are from people that didn't fully understand the use of this device. As it states in the listing, one side is for data and charge, the other is just for charge. Charge only doesn't work for my iPhone X (which I knew from the listing), but it will give me a port to charge anything else. They both work at the same time as well. So I can use CarPlay on the hub, and charge stuff from the console port.

Great pick
Cheap, and effective. Does not lack quality and does what is described. I use it as a splitter for my dashcam and car LED lights.

Missing Tags - Otherwise a good product
My TV has one USB port for playing flash drive contents. I needed to tap into the 5 Volt USB power output to control a relay. This splitter's power only port works perfectly for that. The data and power port cable makes it easier to swap flash drives behind the TV as it is easier to access than the port on the TV itself. It appears to be a quality product and NOT cheaply made. A minor annoyance was that the outputs on my splitter are not tagged as shown in the photos. It took a few seconds to sort that out.

Beware: ONLY ONE SIDE PROVIDES POWER. AND ONLY ONE SIDE HANDLES DATA/SYNC (AND HAS NO POWER)
This did not work at all for my purposes, sadly. But that's because I made the assumption that it would split the power between the two connectors - which is what I needed in my case to be able to charge two devices from a single USB port. However, after almost returning it, I re-read more carefully the description and it DOES say that one side supports data/sync and the other only power. So for those that want to power two devices (two phones, a phone and an eBook reader, etc), this will NOT work. Likewise those that want to use this for two data devices (for example, hooking a printer and an external hard drive to a single USB port on your Mac/PC)...this will ALSO not work. It only works for the stated purpose - one side for power and the other side for data. So you can, for example, hook up a printer to one side and have your phone *charge* on the other side...but your phone wouldn't be able to sync.Ultimately giving it 4 stars even though it isn't useful for my needs. But it does do what it says (as long as you read carefully, which I did not). I am taking one start off for the fact that although it says "one side sync, one side power", I think they could have been more explicit in the description to say, "This will not let you charge two devices at the same time. It will also not let you use sync or transfer data to two devices." Another reasons for taking off a star is that there are no apparent markings for which connector handles data and which is power only (you have to figure it out by trying both).

Just What the Doctor Ordered
I have a clock on my nightstand that has a USB port in the back. Unfortunately, I had 2 items I wanted to charge at night. This splitter was the perfect answer. Even though only 1 cable is labeled as a charging port and the other as a data transfer port, they both function quite well as charging ports. Each cable is a little over 12 inches long, more than long enough for my purposes, and clearly marked with its intended purpose. Very ha[[y with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone with the same need.

Only works for data
New Model 3 owner. Purchased this cable looking to split one of my USB connections into power, to charge a phone, and data, for dashcam/sentry. The data connection on this cable works as expected and dashcam/sentry recordings are stored without issue. However, the power connection of this cable does not work. After trying several Apple and Android devices, along with several different USB cables for each type of device, I can only conclude that the Electop cable is defective.

Please read product description.
Please read the description where it says, "One of the female USB 2.0 Type A Connectors is for Data Transfer and the other for Power Charge"Which means only one connector will transfer data, while the other connector only supplies power. If you want to let's say, hook up your phone to your laptop and also a printer, only one of the two will actually be able to "work" The power only one will charge the phone, but you will not be able to transfer any files.I bought and used this cable to add lighting to the rear of my television. I needed one port to work like a normal usb port for a USB thumb drive I have installed, the other one I just needed power to run the led lights. This cable worked perfectly for that.

This is not a splitter
Only one side of the double side works. Therefore, it does not do the job intended. Poorly manufactured would be my guess.Edit: one side is for charging the other side is for an extender. What I thought that I was ordering was a splitter so that I can plug two laptops into one printer. This gadget does not work that way.I'm sure that it's fine for the way it's designed but I need something different.2nd edit:After reading the description again, I see that I was correct in assuming that it's a splitter because that is how it is described. I urge the company to revise their description.

Works! Powers my two conjoined ring lights!! 😍
The media could not be loaded. I can’t speak to the issues others have had… I did very extensively read many reviews and was worried this splitter wouldn’t work. So I left it in my save for later for a while… then I just said eff it, it’s ten dollars, just get it and try it. I crossed my fingers hoping it would work for what I wanted it for, and it does!!! 😍 I purchased a fifty dollar ring light with a long stand, but it’s not as bright as the small four dollar tech1 ring lights I already owned, that I bought from Dollarama 😒🙄 lol. So I took one of my tech1 ring lights and wrapped the legs around the cell phone holder so I could have a brighter light, and still enjoy the long pole/stand. The issue this created was needing to have two USB ports available for both ring lights. Which I do have many multi plug adapters with USB ports in my home… but it makes it more of an inconvenience to move around. This splitter not only works to power both lights, but it also extends the length of where my ring light can reach!! Love. This. So. Much! I’m not techie enough to understand what this product is saying it can and cannot do, and what the reviewers are trying to explain with what they wanted and what it’s not doing. So if this helps anyone… it powers both my usb ring lights at the same time… then I tried my two phones, one is an iPhone and one is an old Samsung… both ports worked for charging the Samsung… but only the black port charged the iPhone, the white one did not work to charge the iPhone. But if the iPhone was in the black one and the Samsung was in the white one, they both charged at the same time.

It work as advertised
It work as advertised, one port is for charge only, the other can do charge and sync. People are complaining it doesn't work but, you have to keep in mind that USB 2 only allow a max of 0.5 amp. If you split to two ports, you end with 0.25 amp for each of them. Since USB is 5 volts you take 5v x 0.25a and you only get 1.25 watts. No wonder, it can't power anything else than tiny low consumption device.

Terrible splitter. Does not work properly.
If you fully insert your USB device it does not read it. You need to only put your device about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way in to have it read it. That leaves the device kot securely plugged in. Terrible splitter. Waste of money.
