I bought these as a starter set, as I use them yearly to safety wire around 25-30 sets of bolts. They seem to be identical to the professional brands, but are a fraction of the cost. They do the job well as long as you have enough practice with safety wire. I would recommend putting some blue Loctite on the knob at the end, as it has come undone a few times. I can't complain though, as I dropped the knob off a 200 foot tower once, and it wasn't damaged. I simply re-tightened it with the Loctite, and has held up since.

The build quality is extremely poor; the material feels cheap, it doesn't withstand any pressure, and the paint is of very low quality. I hadn't even taken them out of the box and the paint was already chipping. For that price, it's better to avoid them altogether; I wouldn't recommend them.

As a aircraft mechanic I can say they will work if you really know how to safety wire ...or the farmer or apartment dweller that wants to try them....not the best at all

I used safety wire pliers for two decades in the USAF. The long pliers are 9 inch, a bit shorter than I expected and feel shorter than I remember. Will still work. Will admit they are really WELL built.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I needed to twist some wires, and had heard about these aircraft pliers. Was amazed at what they did. Very cool and impressive tool.

The safety wire pliers themselves work as advertised however, the paint that they coated them with began flaking off immediately upon first use. Might as well have not painted them at all. Also, they are not very sharp, making it a little more difficult to cut safety wire. Overall, they still serve their purpose, which is safety wiring, however they are perfect example of you get what you pay for.

Break in quickly but will break off wire till then. Very sharp where wire twists.

En general la herramienta está bien, tienen buen acabado y el material se siente de calidad, las estuve usando por unas semanas y funcionan bien, es cierto que al principio hay que lubricar muy bien todas las partes móviles, con el uso van mejorando. La pintura roja es pintura común no es anodizado pero aún así ha resistido bien estos días. En general buenas pinzas, trabajo en la aviación.

A reasonably priced pair of wire-twist pliers I ordered for wire fence repairs. The 9 inch pliers are good for heavier guage wire, the longer handles provide good clamping tension, whereas the 6 inch pliers fit in a pocket and are best for thinner guage wires.

Very low quality tool, was full of some sort of sand, no lube on the twisted metal and cutters don't cut very well. If I didn't throw the packaging away I would return. Also low quality steel in handle found porosity in welds and material
