PetFusionModern Cat Tree House & Tall Scratching Post (33" tall). Modern and neutral platforms, Espresso finish, Chestnut brown

This is a nice, well-built condo for the bedroom, and is just the right size for my cats to jump from the bed to get more space (I have four cats). Good looks, solid base.This was just built yesterday and Tiger and Sharpie are already using it. Sharpie is using the platform and Tiger has already used it as a scratching post. I hope my other cats join in the fun and this will spare the furniture!The base is large enough so tip-overs aren't likely. As far as the horizontal "cubby hole," the large caps that connect to the wood post for support are exposed and I wish they were recessed. I am not sure the cubby hole will get much use, but my cats certainly will use it to climb up to the top from the floor.One negative is that the platform on the top is a bit smallish. My previous bedroom condo had a 17" x 17" platform and this one is only 15.5"x13.5". (Also I wish the ledge were a wee bit higher as my small female cat, Sharpie, often takes a running leap and needs a stop.) Still, Sharpie fits in it fine, but I am not sure her larger male cousin will be very comfortable in it (I placed him on it and he did not fit well and did not want to stay)). I do not find the "plush" carpet plush at all; it is very thin. I prefer a thicker carpet on the top (or at least an extra backing under-layer on the top platform) and would definitely be willing to pay $50 more for a thicker carpet and a larger top platform.For a modest price, this is an excellent deal. You get good build quality, stability, and looks for a modest cost. Also, I had a minor issue with the condo but PetFusion support was excellent. Good deal...go get one!Update 1/8/17: Only a year later and little Sharpie has clawed away much of the sisal material (that is on the flimsy side). The cat tree is modular in that the sisal "pillar" could be replaceable but PetFusion does not sell this separately. I have been postponing replacing the tree but I am going to order a new one right now. I have subtracted one star because I cannot just order a sisal pillar replacement. Still a good value, just not five stars. Sharpie does like the tree and I am grateful it has no dangerous staples, which has been an issue with other trees I have bought.

Honestly this is way to over priced. If you want something pretty for your office this is great and it's super sturdy. One of the bad things is it was really hard for her to attempt to get up on at first. I had to entice her up with a toy and show her how she could jump up to the top. The tunnel is plastic and the material around the tunnel and at the top is very soft and slippery. If you cut their claws it's almost impossible for them to climb up on. The top is like the material is glued onto a hard piece of wood, so it has a different feel than carpet. Carpet has some sort of traction that they can use to climb to the top of cat towers on. This material is thin, soft, and almost like a silky feeling. This is really not shaped in a way that is easy for them to get to the top. When she tried to use the long strip to run up to the top she would often get stuck trying to find some kind of traction or grip on that lip of wood or on the top piece of material and fail every time. She eventually learned that she had to hop halfway up on the tunnel and then to the top. I still give it 3 stars because she really likes to lay at the top to peer out the window or to sleep on, but for this price I could have gotten something she would have enjoyed climbing on. The other thing is when I first got it there were strands of that material shedding everywhere. They really have use their claws to dig into the material since there is no traction which tends to strip some of the material off. I don't get this material coming off as much now though because she's not really climbing all over it anymore now, but thought I would at least mention that. If you want something solid and pretty this is for you though.

Pet Fusion makes great products, and I bought 2 of these Activity Trees. I also bought 2 Jumbo Loungers, and 4 Loungers.My Cats LOVE all these products, sooo WHY only 3 Stars for the Activity Tree...?all the Pet Fusion products are disposable item by way of construction.the loungers are cardboard, and I fully expect them to become worn-out and need to be replaced, however this Tree could be constructed better.the sisal posts are fabric sisal; NOT the more durable wrapped sisal.I bought these 2 Trees as a Christmas present for my Cats, and now 4 months later the posts are nearly completely destroyed.It is a shame that such a beautiful product has this easily correctable flaw.I would give the product ONE Star, however Pet Fusion did send me ONE set of replacement posts for my TWO Trees, so they made a half effort.Hopefully they will change the posts to wrapped sisal in the future.In the meantime, I plan to contact another manufacturer, and order some wrapped posts of the length needed to fix these beautiful Trees.Thank You for reading, and be forewarned; it's a beautiful product; your Cats will LOVE it, and you will need to replace the posts every 4 months.***UPDATE***Jeff from Pet Fusion Customer Service reached-out to me, and provided replacement posts.Pet Fusion has Excellent Customer Service, and for that reason, I am upgrading my Rating to 4 Stars.Between the 2 Activity Trees and 4 Loungers and 2 Jumbo Loungers, we have 8 of their products, and the Cats LOVE them.Thank You Pet Fusion...!

Arrived next day, very lovingly packaged with individual pieces wrapped so carefully. Easy to assemble. Wanted a new one for a new living room as the old one was scruffy - this fit right in. I was initially concerned the top shelf wasn't big enough for my bigger cat but as the photos show Moonpie can curl right up in there and loves to hang his chin over the edge.

I first purchased this item in April 2017. The quality was excellent and my cats loved it. Given how pleased I was with the product, after 7 years of heavy use I decided to buy the same item again. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with this product version. The bottom fell off on both ends of the longest price of "wood" and I had to glue them back on. One of the holes in the tube was drilled in completely the wrong place and I had to drill a new hole myself. The product is unsteady and very poor quality. So disappointed considering I paid nearly £80 for it.

A great priced and quality item that is suitable for cats of any size.We have 2 Maine Coon 'kittens' and they fight over it often. One easily fits in the tube, the other is a little hesitant at the moment, but the other will jump on top and bat him out, so its very entertaining.High quality, good looking just like most of the products in this range.

I purchased this for two reasons - I required one for my living room, and this particular one appeared very aesthetically pleasing to the eye - like a nice piece of furniture. I have not been disappointed (the quality and the aesthetics) and neither has my cat (the functionality) - she 'love's' it!

Hello Ted apologies for the delayed response. I am registered blind, 10% vision and assembling this great quality best cat tree I've purchased. Easy to assemble and my cat Thomas uses several times daily. Great quality, sturdy construction and well worth the cost. It looks very expensive and blends with my furniture.
