Perfect companion to Shimoda Bag
I use this in combo with a big Shimoda bag, fully loaded. It allows me to balance out weight a little better, and bump up space in my backpack for other stuff. I don't use camera straps or clip systems, but still need access to the camera without having to remove my backpack.If you've ever carried 50lbs + of gear you know why you don't want to unload your backpack for every photo op. The top loader is durable and easy to open with gloves on, and when its closed I don't feel worried about damaging the camera when doing sketchy stuff. I haven't been in a full on downpour yet, but for light rain it was no issue. So far so good!
