I've been having flare ups of an old knee pain recently, and I have somehow misplaced my old knee brace. I borrowed one from a friend- one of those new, trendy copper ones, and I think it's good for a mild day, to put on under your clothes and to carry on. When I have more serious problems, I prefer a brace like this, which has a higher-impact. I really like this brace and have found it effective. It has a light fabric behind the knee that makes it comfortable when you bend your knee. It also has Velcro straps that allow for adjusting the fit. You can make it tighter when walking but loosen it when relaxing. The open knee makes it cooler and less restrictive while providing a lot of support. I worried it would be stiff and bulky. The official photos look a little bit unappealing to me. It looks like something the doctor would give you rather than something practical for daily use, but it's much more flexible than it appears. I thought this might just be for lounging around the house, but you can wear this out and about. You can exercise in this. And it doesn't look as unattractive as I worried it would either. It actually just looks athletic and active, not medical, if that makes sense. I like it. It's comfortable. I can't think of any cons I've experienced so far, and I'm glad to have this around. I was very pleased with my knee brace. I purchased it through Amazon (prime) 3 days before leaving on a very big trip to Europe I had been planning for a year. My left knee, miniscus tear, acted up days before my departure. I was really stressing out, as I knew I would be doing a LOT of walking on tours in Germany, Austria, Hungary, where the roads were cobblestone, uneven, and hilly. I also anticipated many stairs to be climbed.Amazon prime guranteed my delivery in 2 days. I received the brace on time! The brace fit perfectly, was very comfortable to wear, with extra long adjustable velcro straps, cut out for the knee, and the best opart, mesh in the back of the knee so it did NOT bunch up in wrinkels as other knee braces have done. I cannot say enough good things about this knee brace. The cherry on the cupcake was, the company sent me personally an e=mail asking how the brace was. If it fit properly, otherwise they would change it. And making sure I was satisfied. How great is that in this day and age??? The brace also has built in cloth type stays, giving extra support to the knee on the sides where you feel miniscus problems Venom, has a sure winner here, and I am not afraid to say...SAVED my vacation! You will not be disappointed..Measure your knee as they shoe on-line to get your "best fit" and you will be pleasantly surprised...I was! Thank You Venom...for such a great product and for caring

These braces are well made. I gave them only three stars because although I measured before ordering, they are just slightly too large to stay up on my knees. A smaller size I tried on in a local store was too small. These braces are tubular with two Velcro fasteners. They must be pulled on and the Velcro straps wrapped above and below the knee joint. They do provide some support as intended, but after riding my bike or walking on the treadmill, the open knee space has almost always slipped below my knee. In the past (before weight gain) Inwas able to use medium sized braces of open design with three Velcro straps including one behind the knee joint. That kind of brace seems to have provided more stability for my arthritic knees.

I just ordered a pair on March 5, 2019 (one for each knee, I expected 'new' condition). Based on the sizing chart provided, I did my measurements and ordered size XL. The braces give great coverage, the velcro straps are easy to use and tighten up nicely around the top and bottom areas of the knee. The size XL fit larger than expected, and I like a tighter fit with neoprene braces so they don't slip around during use. But luckily Venom states this with each purchase:"PLEASE REMEMBER THAT VENOM WILL SEND YOU A FREE REPLACEMENT IN CASE YOUR CHOSEN SIZE DOES NOT FIT OR IF IT IS DAMAGED! WE CAN ALSO ASSIST YOU WITH RETURNS, DEFECTS & REFUNDS!"I was extremely impressed with the fact Venom was willing to send me replacement braces and I sent my request for size L. However, when I received the replacements, 1 brace was 'new' condition and the other was 'used' condition. It was obvious because the 'used' brace had folds and bends in several places of the neoprene, there pieces of lint/fuzz stuck onto the velcro straps in multiple places, and even the imprinted Venom logo on the brace was faded and worn.Yes, I'm VERY happy with the fact Venom's customer service is willing to send replacement braces if the size is wrong. And I would've given them a 5-star review if they would've sent me 2 braces in 'new' condition instead of a 'used' one. I mean, who's interested in using somebody else's sweaty 'used' knee brace when you're clearly purchasing 'new' ??!!

I bought this for pain after a recent injury, causing a cartilage tear in the knee. This brace gives nice support and hopefully will let me do an upcoming international backpacking trip before considering knee surgery. I'm at the edge of sizing between a Med and a Large, and per their suggestion, I chose the smaller size to buy. I can barely get the velcro straps closed, and while it gives good and comfortable support while I'm standing and walking it does cause an uncomfortable pinch around the back of my knee from the top strap while I'm seated with the knee bent. I think that it's just from it being slightly too small for my leg, so I'm seeing if I can switch to a size Large. I will upgrade to 5 stars if the new brace fits me better, as otherwise, it seems like a really good product for a decent price.Edit: I wrote to the vendor, as they had mentioned in their follow-up email after my purchase that they would help out if the sizing didn't work for you, and they have sent a 2nd brace in Large, no questions asked. This one fits better, and I'm very impressed at the level of customer service and responsiveness from this seller! Changed my rating to 5 stars.
