Solid switch, combos work well.
I have two of these babies in my workroom and just recently purchased the second one. The first has been running for a few years and continues to. I have no real complaints running the computers into a 1920x1080 monitor, usb keyboard, and mouse. It switches everything well. The only thing to note is that the two usb backports are keyboard/mouse dedicated and clearly go through some sort of emulation layer. The only thing I have trouble with is my logitech wireless mouse w/universal transceiver in the back port. However, the front port is generic and plugging the transceiver into that works just fine (and has better line of sight to the mouse anyhow). The front port can be switched independently (most KVM switches allow you to do that). The integrated cable packs are nice. The little rubber covers for the photo plugs are kinda silly but they can just be cut off.-Matt

Very Happy with Product and Support
Got the 2-port dvi switch. Very easy to hook up, nice cords, and the switch itself is somewhat heavy so it doesn't get easily knocked around my desk. A little bit of hang time when connecting each computer to it one at a time, but everything worked great with the newer windows 7 box within minutes. At first the windows XP box didn't pass through sound, but Aten's support site FAQ had the answer to hold that computer's button down (button on front of switch), until both lights came on for that button (a little chirp confirmed it took). Sound followed almost immediately. Maybe its in the manual but I didn't read every single page :) Everything works great now, even with my wireless keyboard. For that I had to plug the receiver into the front usb mouse port of the switch. Keyboard usb port on switch would only recognize the wireless keyboard and not mouse. I really love that I'm getting more use of my old XP Box now. I have both desktop PCs on the top of the desk and the cords are plenty long to give me almost 5 feet of room between both. Before I bought this, I was tempted to go with one of the cheaper dvi switches, but judging by the other reviews, I'm glad I didn't. I don't write many reviews, but it was nice that this thing just worked without too much grief. Very satisfied with it.

Nice unit, nice price, cables included, works OOTB.
Ordered this to replace a Raritan 4 port KVM that suddenly because obsolete when I switched to a new Windows 7 machine. I was happy with the Raritan but found out it's discontinued. Never heard of this brand, read the reviews, checked its website and placed my bet. Out of the box goodness and DVI connectors included. That's a step up from the old Raritan which was VGA only. I've used the ATEN for a couple months. Happy with it -- except one thing I haven't figured out is my mouse right click doesn't work in web browsers. Works fine within programs. I heard good things about ATEN support; I'll contact them when I have time.

Excellent Product.. Worth every penny!
Purchased this KVM to replace an old Belkin VGA 2 - port KVM since I now have two PC's that have DVI output. Very easy to setup. Up and going in less than 10 minutes. All the necessary cables are included. Pluses for me... Love being able to "share" a USB device between both of the PC's. Also like the fact that you can leave the audio and usb share on one PC while viewing and working on the other. This let's me play music from my home PC while working on my laptop that's in its dock. Superb quality. Would highly recommend this product to anyone in the market for a DVI KVM.

Great piece of gear.
Tried cheaper KVM switches but this works with a wireless mouse and keyboard, whereas the others do not. Very well built as well. The only problem I have found is that the keyboard command for switching does not work. Haven't really investigated that problem as I only need to walk a few steps to switch computers.

Works Great !
I had no issues setting up this ATEN 2-port DVI switcher. I’m using it to share an LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse, and powered speakers with two PC’s; one running Windows XP and the other Windows Vista. The supplied cable sets fit where they needed (in my application, all ports were mated without any adapters). It works great and wish I had bought this sooner as I found it cumbersome to have two monitors, two PC’s, two mice and two keyboards on one desk. I haven’t done a firmware update as mentioned in the user manual but so far I haven’t experienced any issues, which I am very pleased when things go together as easy as ATEN advertised it would.

It pretty much does what it is supposed to do
The video is crisp. That, compared to many competing products, was the most important thing for me. Hot key switching is pretty much painless as well. Not that it matters, the case is actually black, not silver. There are two oddities, as follows:* sometimes the mouse gets temporarily 'lost' on system 1 when you switch to it from system 2 - it recovers it within a minute or so* system 1 will not boot - stops at initializing USB controllers - unless a keyboard is directly connected to the 1st USB port in the front at boot time - no idea on this one

Good product, but does NOT support resolutions over 1920x1200
This is a good product, but the Q&A top answer is wrong. It does not support 2K resolutions, as it is not a dual link DVI capable device. I tested high quality dual link DVI cables on all connections, and it still showed pixelated video output. I contacted ATEN support, and a representative confirmed that this device's highest resolution is 1920x1200. I replaced this device with an ATEN CS1782A - which does support dual link DVI connections.
