50W Dimmable LED Driver 12V Transformer, 120V AC to DC 12 Volt Electric Class2 Power Supply, Triac/ELV/MLV Dimming Compatible with Lutron Leviton Dimmers for LED Strip Light, Low Voltage Lighting

hey guys so i’m an electrician and i’ve used many transformers and led drivers in my career, i worn on multi million dollar homes and do all sorts of custom lighting every day, these have never let me down. even my entire house is packed in these and have worked smooth and solidly all these years, the dimming is super smooth with any dimmable switch, including lutron caseta smart switch/dimmers that my house is also carrying. and best of all these things are silent and easy to install.

This power supply is easy to mount and connect, silent in operation, and stays fairly cool to touch. I bought a 50W unit for a 43W peak requirement. It's hard wired to a wall switch controlled household current circuit. Recommended for LED indoor installations.

The product worked as advertised, but ... The AC Input allowed only about an 1/8th to insert and clamp. I recommend that you solder the end, so the eighth of an inch is solid. The AC Input Cover, the Purple Thing, actually cut the insulation to the lamp cord when placed fully down in position and was very hard to remove. I recommend that you either leave that cover off, or cut two holes so the wires can pass through when the cover is fully snapped down in place. The product manufacturer should make and supply a plug to fit into these tiny recesses which then can be spliced onto a standard AC lamp cord. It would make installation easier. The 12v Output was likewise very hard use, with the smallish wires generally used for LED Strips. It was hard for the clamping mechanism to get a grip on the tiny wires. I recommend using a 16 or 18 gauge thermostat type wire which is thicker and then splice or wire nut the smaller gauge LED wire. Again, the product manufacturer should make and supply a plug which fits into these tiny recesses which then has the standard two conductor plug which is supplied. It would make installation very easy.

This 50W power supply is working good for about 24 linear feet of double density led warm white strips (about 1 1/2 of 2 16.9' kits) that I used with a Lutron dimmer. I can dim it all the way down to almost zero. Just installed, but work like I needed it to.

This led driver is easy to use and install. Took about 5 minutes from start to finish. Driver provides more than enough power to power my LED lights in my bathroom and bedrooms. Pair the driver with any dimmable light switch and you are set. The only thing I have noticed is a small wine from the driver as it dims. It isn’t loud by any means, yet it is noticeable.

Very good power system for our cabinets and works great with our wall switch dimmer.

Had to return- it’s an unreliable dimmer circuit and is faulty.

Installation was simple. Dimming works great. Recommend.

Dimmed well and did what I needed it to do. This is not a CSA or UL approved item. Updated 07/14/2024, No problems and has a very smooth control of the LED light strips and Led ceiling lights in the ensuite. Just doing a follow up on this Dimmable LED Driver. Ticking like a Swiss watch. No probems, no humming, no flickering. Will be using another one when I do the kitchen reno and put in the under cabinet lighting.

I’ve had these in the past and they usually work great. I bought 2 more. Hooked the first one up. Fantastic. Hooked the second one up and it won’t work. Box looked open already but maybe that’s in my head. Either way, I’ve got one that won’t work right out of the box.
