It converts an e12 light bulb to an e11 socket. Was confusing for me too. I bought this but need it the other way and ended up buying what I needed off of eBay. A description for one sold by another party has a better description:"Allows for the use of candelabra base bulbs in mini candelabra E11 socket fixtures. Simply screw the socket adapter into your current E11 type mini candelabra base socket and you are ready to use an E12 candelabra base bulb."

No, this goes the other way. It screws into the mini-candelabra base (E11) so you can use a regular E12 base candelabra bulb in it. What you want is an adapter from a candelabra E12 to a standard E26/E27 regular light bulb base, which you can find on Amazon. Just make sure that the additional length and diameter of the adapter will work with your fixture.

Q: Will this work to convert a T4 to an E12?

I believe you are comparing apples to oranges. T4 is the measurement of the glass tube of a candelabra bulb. E12 is the base of the bulb that screws into the socket. So if you buy a E11 to E12 adapter you will screw the adapter into an E11 socket then screw the E12 bulb into that new added E12 socket.
