Francisca Throwing Axe - Hand Forged from Tempered High Carbon Steel, 100% Guaranteed from Defects

This axe was delivered on time and meet all expectations except for one. Out of the box I noticed a crack 3/8” in the head.

I ordered two of these axes, and planned to order a third. Of the two that arrived, one was great; the head of the other one slipped right off the handle when I lifted it out of the box. I messaged the seller, waiting to hear back from them before I order more.

Outstanding throwing axe, lovely feeling in the hand. stained the handle with pine tar resin for the aged look. throws great and is not too heavy.

Garbage is the first thing that comes to mind when I look at this thing now. I was displeased before I even took the shipping packing off. It’s not a francisca, the handle doesn’t fit, and the quality of the head is pretty bad. Clearly they don’t care about their product. I didn’t expect $100 quality but I wouldn’t have even spent $20. I wish I could say “Well it may be wrong and ugly but at least say it throws good” but that’s not the case either. You should look elsewhere, I do not recommend.

I find the Francisca is easier to throw than other axes. It just seems like if you intuitively throw it it works. My wife, who does not throw axes, was able to stick it the second time she ever tried.

Received a hatchet, not a francisca throwing axe. Head dimensions were much larger, no curve in the neck, no angle to the blade edge. If this is indicative of the product as a whole then I would pass.

Great axe for throwing, holds an edge really well.
