What happened to the midding markers.
A very well researched book, but I had to return it as I allready had one. I meant to order Taking The Tolls Along The National Road Thru Ohio, which I did later.

Wonderful book!
The pictures are worth the cost of the book and the thoroughness of the content gives it the depth that makes it a book to read and then re-read. A must read for any Ohio history buff!!

A valuable reference and a good read
This book is indeed "A Survey of Old Stone Mile Markers" but that hardly does it justice. It's a survey that documents every stone's location, inscription, and fate with photographs, drawings, explanatory text, and color coded maps. Mixed in with this detailed cataloging are various stories and supplemental facts that make it an interesting read as well as a unique and valuable reference.
